CFL Pick 'Em, Final Playoff Standings: Apologies for the delay in getting this post up. It was a pretty wild party here in Toronto. The season is now entirely over, so do not make your picks inside.

That's that! The league seems to be shifting into a defensive era, as another conservatively player (or just poorly quarterbacked, take your pick) game fails to register much excitement and leaves us all yearning for 2005's Montreal-Edmonton tilt. To all of you who weren't at the absolutely terrific pre-game festivities in Toronto to make up for the game itself, I apologize. (Also: neener, neener.) Nobody got the Bonus (c'mon, James Johnson was such an obvious choice!), so I just left it off the table.

MrFrisby made sure the tiebreak was a moot point, as he picks winner and under to sweep all 2007 SportsFilter CFL Pick 'Ems. Congratulations! A well-deserved Costanza Award goes to owlhouse. Sir, your persistance is admirable indeed.

Going into one of its most stable offseasons in recent memory, the CFL has some time to evaluate its most important property: the game itself. What tweaks, if any, will be made to re-ignite the Canadian offensive touch? Is expansion into Halifax the answer? Cutting down roster size back to its 2005 headcount? Rule tweaks? We can only guess. But there is one thing of which we can all be assured: the SportsFilter CFL Pick 'Em will be back in June 2008. See you then! And many thanks.

Thanks Dr John. This competition has disproved the theory that someone picking totally randomly has just as good a chance as people who know what they're doing. I accept my Costanza on behalf of CFL expert fans everywhere. Thank you.

Damn. Why didn't I pick Saskatchewan?

MrFrisby, my hat is off for you ... truly an outstanding season!!! Winning both the regular season AND the playoff/Grey Cup pick 'ems ... your finger has truly been on the pulse of this league this year!!! So, for anyone interested, I'm pitching a book prospectus right now about the fan experience of the CFL (mostly interested in those whacky Grey Cup partiers DJE referred to, of which I happen to be one), but I think it is vital to include the online "fan" ... even if you're simply a lurker/ambivalent participant. Talk to me. email me offline @ rsmurray@ualberta.ca . And, whether you're a SpoFite, a football fan, or just someone concerned with issues of social justice ... I encourage you to connect with this other locker room thread (paying special attention for the link to a facebook group), to join in on the action of trying to make football (NFL and/or CFL, both are in a sorry state of affairs on this regard) a better sport for all! And finally, it can't go without mention ... thanks again, DJE!!! We're nothing without you! Sorry we didn't connect in T.O. during Coupe Grey Cup!!! Next year ... Montreal ... guaranteed to be a b-l-a-s-t!!!

Congrats MrFrisby. Thank you owlhouse for preventing me from sweeping the CFL Costanzas. Thanks again for doing this Dr. J. I hope to have a better showing in '08.

*Hears name called. Shakes three times, zips up fly and flushes. Runs out on stage without washing hands.* Thank you, thank you everybody. This is such a great honor. It's been a fun season and I hope to do it again next year. First I would like to thank the good Doctor, without whom this wouldn't be possible. I'd also like to thank my parents, my coaches, the training staff, Lou Lamoriello, and last but not least, Satan. Have a good evening everyone and don't drink and drive. *shakes hands with everybody and exits, stage right.*

Remind me to wear gloves next year.

Have a good evening everyone and don't drink and drive. How the hell am I gonna get home, then? Congrats Fris, and thanks again, Doc. I may not have won, but I mounted a furious comeback over the last few weeks, and that makes me happy. At least my single-week scoring record is still intact. Time to bust out the champagne, a la the '72 Dolphins. Or something like that.

Quietly passes out hand sanitizer to the group, gives TBH cab fare and thanks DJE for hosting the party.

And runs out before she admits that she read the posts but didn't know enough about the CFL to make picks.

Hey, that didn't stop me!

Okay owlhouse-- next year. I will challenge you to see who knows the least.

I'm estimating that about half of this years participants know very, very little about the CFL.

Monica - my play off form was abysmal, however I did finish equal second in the regular season CFL Pick 'Em. Unfortunately this doesn't get me a trophy, or any respect for that matter.

If only I'd not missed the west picks! Well in, everyone. I had fun.
