A Blizzard of Columns!: So how about putting some left side padding on the column pages. Padding vs No Padding.

When seeing a column page my first instinct is that the horizontal hold on my monitor has gone screwy since the content seems to start on the leftmost pixel. It looks weird.

Indeed, pad that col.

Heck, even the locker room comment threads could use some padding. That "March 23, 2005" starts at Pixel Number One.

yes, i guess there is a need for padding in the locker room too. i guess i hadn't noticed as much since it is with the columns that massive blocks of content are smushed onto the left side whereas in the locker room and threads therein the hierarchical setup provides some relief.

May I suggest the user profile pages too? They could do with a little bit of left and right padding.

Fuck it. Let's just pad the whole thing up. I hear pads are the new black anyway.

Kirkaracha's redesigned the site on our new server with different software. I think he's ignoring design glitches on this one because we're going to move Real Soon Now.

I figured that would be the party line (not to sound at all negative about it). So we look forward to the grand unveiling. In the meantime, the talk of wanting more space reminds me of a certain cougar.
