We can't call it ping-pong anymore?

Doubles in table tennis is actually doubly difficult. Not just anyone can hit the damn ball at any time. You actually have to take turns with your partner to hit the ball. Meaning if you just returned the ball, the next time the ball comes over the net, your partner has to hit it. It's a pretty devilish twist to the game. Unless they changed the rules.

Table tennis is just ping-pong with an education.

billysaythis - thanks - although, I'm not sure my nun liked it much. Post match analysis available later today.

In the end though, all his talent couldn’t outshine the surface of the rubber on his bat, If that's not classic sportswriting, I don't know what that is. I'm really enjoying reading about your exploits, especially when you write about them in that reflective and understatedly funny way. Keep on keepin' on!

Actually, JJ is being a bit kind to me. I was crap (as I warned him beforehand) and it was Rob who kept us in the game. Fun though. I haven't played in *ages*. I got a few photos which are just about viewable after some cleaning up in the Gimp. I'll post them Monday.
