Is there a SpoFi RSS feed/plans to have one in the future?

Just because it's almost impossible to find doesn't mean it's not there.

brilliant. I was just going to ask about this. Thanks dfleming and yerfatma!

Could we get some titles then at least? "posted by [name] to [category], [date]" isn't the most useful of arragements. Also, a sidebar link to the feed may go a long way to ending this frequent request in the locker room. Speaking of which, a locker room feed would be a spiffy addition.

RE: titles I can't do anything about titles unless we start requiring users to write them, as MetaFilter now does. I thought about duplicating the first part of the description in the title, but that would look terrible in Radio UserLand and presumably other RSS newsreaders. via the old thread http://www.sportsfilter.com/lockerroom/comments.cfm/356

More RSS stuff here.

By all means, require titles. I don't think anyone would be too put out by having to title their post. If they are, well, they have bigger issues than titling their SpoFi posts anyhow. Would do wonders for the usability of the feed.

I'd consider it, wc2k2 ... but we don't have a web site. HAHAHAHAHAHA! /Luddite

So that's why you keep asking what is RSS. HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Err... not funny.

I looked it up, and I guess it makes sense to me, as someone who still thinks the game Bejeweled is a technological marvel.

RSS is a nice tool, even if you don't use news readers, you can do stuff with the mozilla sidebar. I used this page Install a Mozilla Sidebar to set up a bunch of bookmarks for different rss feeds. For instance, the very helpful has a rss feed for freaking everything, so I have a bookmark for BBC Sport - Football, etc.

Yeah, the best part of RSS is not having to go to each individual site and see if anything new has been posted. Now, I can have the newsreader check all the sites for me and let me know which ones have changed (well, the newsreader just highlights the bookmark for each site that has changed since the newsreader last checked) and I only have to click on those.

Can anyone of you suggest a decent free reader?

Gotta go with Bloglines.

I agree, Bloglines is great. I have it my bookmarks bar and check it when I get bored.

Blogline ^ 3.

My preference for #Reader is that I prefer not to do the RSS feeds in a browser window, so I would not be test driving Bloglines in any case.

jason, I've been using the RSS Reader extension for Mozilla Firefox. As soon as the dev site comes back online (it's been down since yesterday) you should be able to find it here.

Err, very helpful BBC that is. The dev site is up, but something is messed up between the two sites. try: http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/
