(not worthy of an FPP me thinks, plus you'll all kill me for the ARod talk)

Dear Spofi... got a video game question. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?! Will they produce the game like that? I mean, they can't, right?

I don't understand what your question is...

they can't produce the game with a player in the wrong uniform, can they?

they could, but it wouldn't make any sense. More likely than not; one of the editors or writers just traded A-Rod to the Sox in-game just to see what it would be like if the trade actually happened. Most sports sim game makers try and keep rosters as close to the real rosters as they can. never mind the fact that the rosters are out dated within a month.

This seems perfectly logical to me. It isn't so hard to create a game where trades can occur that would allow for something like this to happen. I have played American football video games where I could create a player with the same name and number as a player on a different team. And even if it isn't a feature, I would assume game developers would be able to move players anywhere they want and create screenshots. The trade will happen, or it won't JG. Enjoy life inthe meantime :)

Yeah, the new games have downloadable(word?) current league rosters. ESPN hockey is the first game I've played with this feature, and its kinda surreal. You can relive a season as it happens....if that makes any sense.

Also, it could be an Easter Egg in the game.

I'm turning a blind eye to a lot of stuff in the Locker Room these days, because I think we should probably loosen the restrictions a bit. Some of these Ask SpoFi questions and general discussions are interesting. However, in the name of Touchdown Jesus and the Galloping Ghost, please don't use "this is not good enough for the SportsFilter front page" as a reason for posting here.
