Now we'll never get a (bikini) photo! Congratulations to JerseyGirl and her no longer to be named later fiance on their now two week old engagement. Let the sports-related wedding night snarky suggestions begin.

Congrats jg! I'm sure you'll be excited about planning the nuptuals. Just remember one thing: It's your (and your fiance's) day. Don't let ANYONE push you into something you don't want, even if it's minor. Our (my wife and I) biggest regret is that we choose a photographer because it was recommended by a family member *coughmotherinlawcough* and she was a disaster: she lost a roll of film containing 90% of the photos of MY side of the family, she was slow in getting them processed, and she framed the wrong photo for our living room. I had wanted to compare 3 or 4 photographers (including her) and choose the best, but we didn't want to insult the family member *coughmotherinlawcough* so we went with the photographer of choice. Bzzzt. Wrong move. Also, pay for as many of the important things as you can with your OWN money (not family money). Dress, flowers, photographer, tuxedos, and reception hall are all things that will be remembered (or form the memories) and you want them to be your decision without being influenced by who is paying for it. That said, any chance you'll post a link of your engagement photo? :)

Congratulations, jg! I've never been married, but judging from my sister's, it's going to be big, hectic, fun, exhausting, and unforgettable. My advice: make sure you eat first at the dinner. Make absolutely sure you get something to eat. Otherwise you will not get a chance. Cheers!

I guess it was easy for you to say yes to your bf when Nomar ruined your plans by getting married to that Hamm bitch earlier in the year. :)

I am bloody happy at this announcement, my dear j-girl. Please, for goodness sake, pay for a professional photographer and videographer. I did one and not the other. I now have photo memories but no video. Do not let a friend of a relative do it. They probably won't check the videocam until they're in the church on the day of the wedding, and the damn cam won't work. You won't find out until you're about to start the processional. Pay a professional. Good God. Pay a professional. Also, where's my invitation? I was hoping perhaps you and I could get a pic together at the reception. Hahahahahaha. Congrats!
