  • Rank is yahoo's ranking based on win percentage and points scored, including a team's bye week. The top 8 teams make the playoffs.
  • Player is my attempt to map sportsfilter user's to their teams. Sorry if I got your team wrong. Please let me know.
  • AvgPF is the team's average points scored in games played. The season total, including bye weeks, is in parentheses.
  • AvgPA is the average points scored against the team.
  • Rot is the team's winning percentage if we were playing rotisserie style. Ties are thrown out.
  • Wks is the number of times the team has posted the weekly high score.
  • Power is an attempt at providing a power ranking for the team, the higher the score the better. It is calculated by multiplying the winning and rotisserie percentages by 1000 and the AvgPF by 10, and then calculating the average of those three plus overall points scored.
  • Bye weeks do not count for any stat, except the points scored in parentheses. For example, 37 Push Ups scored a league high 108 points during its bye week (week 2), but that is not reflected in the scoring averages, Wks column or rotisserie percentage.

What's really frustrating is that I could easily be 5-3. I lost one week on a Yahoo! correction and then lost this week by one single point. I'm not saying I don't deserve to be 3-5, I'm just saying I'm not as bad as it looks.

that's what we all say, grum =) at least i'm not first in points against anymore.

I still can't get over these freaking charts. Dano, if Grady Little had had you around, we wouldn't be talking about putting Whitey Herzog in a BoSox uni.

Of course, this assumes you would have used really small words to explain them to him.

Damn. I got stomped.

danostuporstar - I'm sorry you don't get to play me. The Scheduling Gods must be angry with you. My top two picks were McNabb and Dillon - two of the biggest busts this season. I think my best player is probably David Boston. Argh.

I am still kicking myself over my first loss. I had benched a couple key players that would have helped me win easily. The rest of the season is going to be tough. I have some worthy opponents ahead of me, plus my QB hurt his thumb. Some of my other players are banged up.

jason, I've had good luck picking which players to start, with a few mistakes. I chose the wrong tight end last week, but I was so thoroughly beaten in my matchup that I didn't even care.

it's crazy that two teams busted out 120 point explosions this week. it's even more amazing that spacemen did it despite getting big fat zeros from his TE and kicker. i think 120 is the high for the year...anybody remember a higher score?

posted by danostuporstar at 08:28 PM on October 28, 2003

Marshall should take the week off so my new hero Arlen Harris can score another 3 td's. Spacemen is w/out Holmes so Rass should take care of them then i'll knock em out of first the following week. Sound familiar dusted?

So, am I the underdog the next two weeks?

posted by jasonspaceman at 10:34 AM on October 30, 2003

You're a cocky bastard, catfish... but yes, it sounds very familiar. jasonspaceman, I don't think you can claim underdog when you're sitting on top.

grum: I'm just saying I'm not as bad as it looks dano: that's what we all say, grum =) Well, not all. My team is much worse than it looks. By all rights I should be 2-5. Got to love those reception points.

Don't you hate when one of your players gets a TD wiped out by a penalty? Donald Driver finally breaks a catch, but it was called back...after which Favre threw 99 straight dump-off passes to Ahman Green.

dude, 2 of yr 3 receivers and yr TE found the end zone...so i don't feel too much sympathy. i need deion branch to catch 3 passes for 40 yards to win our Trade Bowl (and be just one game out of the 8th playoff spot, woo hoo). this is why i love fantasy. i would normally have zero rooting interest in MNF, but tonight ima huge Pats fan.

Tonight I'm a huge Broncos defense fan. Unfortunately (for me), Troy Brown is out, so Deion Branch is going to get a lot of looks. Probably another loss... I think this comment ruined my luck.

Heh heh. I knew it would bite me in the ass as soon as I posted it. I went from unbeaten to (likely) three straight losses. All I know is I'm definitely not losing next week.

OK, but I definitely lost this week.

OK, but I definitely lost this week. yeah, i'm not complaining, but that was a little disappointing. i had settled in to count Branch's points one at a time until final whistle, then BOOM 10 points on one play in the 1st quarter and i feel asleep before halftime.
