Is anyone interested in starting an online weekly poker game? All the heavy volume sites allow you to set up your own game w/ restricted access. I'm thinking 6-10 players at low limits.

I don't think I'll ever play poker for real cash over the internet. I need to see my opponents and their faces for me to play with real money.

I don't know how to play poker. I'm in.

Hmmm. I dunno ... what does low limits mean to you? And I agree with grum ... I like to see the people at the table. And buy them lots of beer.

Yes. Yes. Yes. How funny, I was thinking about this last night, I have just started playing Texas Hold 'Em at this place (www.partypoker.com) which is free to play with a really nice interface. I would love to play for play money at first until we can get some logistical details worked out then I would play for lower stakes. Where might we set up a private game?

Hey Catfish, I see you are a fellow Seattlelite, maybe we should get together and actually play in real time!

Hey, my friend has a mesh hat that says "liquor in the front, poker in the rear". That is all.

I thought partypoker.com would be the best site as well vito. I called their cust service & we can start w/ play money but the table wouldn't be password protected. A real money table would be all ours & it looks like their lowest limits for Texas Hold 'Em is .50 - $1. Their bonus program looks great as well. The only drawback is if we decide to play for real money some might be uncomfortable using neteller or western union. Any suggestions for times to play?

I would play while at work, because I can. So 5 AM until 2:30 daily. Also because at home I still have dial-up. Does partypoker rake the pot? Or do they charge a transaction fee? How much would we be giving the house? Are you in the system already? I'm in there as Vincenzo14, playing the 5/10 Texas Hold 'Em table (for Play Money). I pop in three or four times a day but occasionally have to bail without notice when some goddamned minion wants something.

I play at ultimatebet.com ($1-2 or 2-4)and while they offer private table play it's the bonus at partypoker that interested me. It seems after depositing an initial fifty we could all refer one player & add $75 to account. As far as % to house I don't know for sure but my guess would be a standard rake once the pot reaches a certain amount. Do you play at any card rooms around Seattle?

No I don't, but I used to play in a regular game with some old work friends. It was a real fun group but one of the guys started taking poker real seriously, and going to card rooms, and bringing those guys into our group. The only thing they play now is Texas Hold 'Em, whereas I like the non-standard games like guts and baseball and 7-stud Chicago. I have been actively trying to get a group together to play, I can host, I live up in Mountlake Terrace...interested in joining? I'm thinking a Saturday night in the next month.

Yeah vito I'd like to play one night. It doesn't look like the online game is going to fly though.
