I left today's sports injuries link alone for the moment, but I'd like to hear what the Sportsfilter membership thinks of that decision. Even if the photos are acceptable with a content advisory, the site itself is riddled with explicit porn ads. Keep or kill?

Its fine with me as long as there is a warning... I just won't look at it till i get home. Links with popups however should be discouraged...

I agree with StarFucker. The warning makes it acceptable to me.

I concur with SF...the warning helps to hold of the IT folks at the workplace, but links with pop-ups should be avoided at all costs.

Of course, you all could use browsers with built-in popup blockers, I recommend Slimbrowser, or the standalone variety. Then this issue is moot.

I'm very anti-pornography, and won't go near the stuff.

As long as the content is good (unlike say, a post plugging your own site, which only contains links to other sports sites, but that's just hypothetical), and the warning is explicit, keep it.

Pop ups and porn, or even porn pops, are fine, but this site seems like purely a porn advertising vehicle and pretty much a waste of time. The content here is borderline at best.

Then, I must point you to a site of higher vintage, PhysioRoom.com , which I've been using to track injuries in my EPL fantasy team. A thoroughly respectable, educational, and useful resource.

Yes wc2002, but where are the knockers?

I don't have a problem with it. I have a pop-up stopper which stopped all the pop-ups on that site anyway. The warning was clear enough to make me wait until I got home to have a look. FWIW, I thought there was a good selection of injury pics there, if you like that kind of thing.

Everyone using IE should go get themselves some sweet, sweet Adshield. It's free.

I don't mind the sweet, sweet porn and agree with having a content advisory, but kloeprich makes the key point that it's the content of the site we should consider, and the original linked site is pretty weak. As a more general matter, I don't know if it's practical to worry about the ads that other sites have. What if we link to a site and they add porn ads later? Just add a NSFW disclaimer and let people decide if they want to risk being offended or not.

I use Mozilla, which has a preference that turns all pop-ups off.
