So I suck, twice. Once for the incorrect standings, and then for my deteriorating performance. Congrats, Fat Buddha on the big score this week. I've noticed that you, like most of the top players, stay quite stable with your picks, while I tend to be more opportunistic. I'm curious, though, about your Paul Robinson pick (which paid off oh-so-handsomely this week). What makes you so loyal to this young player? What are your sources? ;-)

Could I have picked worse this week? Actually, I don't think I could've (I had the lowest week score of anyone). Congrats Starfucker and FatBuddha, I'll catchya week 5!

It is difficult to pick a good keeper at cheap money, I think there was a general assumption that Robinson would not get a game this season, but the English press was full of stories of Martyn being dropped because he didn't tour with Leeds pre season. Leeds will get better. I have changed my tactics a bit and have been chopping and changing a lot this week, so expect a rapid decline. Blues 3 Villa 1...it's an omen!

Week 11 that number 1 spot is mine. Grr. You'll see.. Bwahahah.. Will Martyn ever get his place back from Robinson? Will Owen ever score a goal? Hmm..

Just joined up with my team, Cool Springs United. I jumped into fourth! Heck, in my own league, I'm only 41st out of 50.

I think we need another update.

FatB: How you mean? I clicked the link and all I got was a "You are not the owner of this team" page. I'll update on Wednesday, after the yahoo! crew is done messing with the points. btw, I got a little email from one of the Pantheon asking me to put the standings in comments rather than right up front in the locker room. I'll start doing that the next update, and just put the weekly leader's name in the thread, with full details in the comments.

As an appeal to the pantheon, please keep the fantasy standings on the lockerroom front page. I know that they're repetitive, but they're exciting to those involved. It is new material at least. It makes for good, clean, competitive fun. That's sports. It certainly connects the community. And most importantly...the sense of communal bragging rights is important. It makes the fantasy league more interesting knowing that dirty laundry is aired in public. Right now we're essentially a community of friends and friends of friends. Leave it up. Two years from now the site will have 2000 new members. If it's inappropriate then, delete it. For now, foster relationships amongst members.

In other words, let it stay. They get lots of comments. The participants use it as a discussion board. Good, clean fun. Make sure that you're not moderating for the sake of moderating. If people enjoy it let it stay.

I completely agree with ttrendel. It's not like things are scrolling off the locker room too fast.

Thanks for the support, ttrendel and elsoltano. Yeah, the reason I put it up there was to get non-players involved. SpoFi Leaguers could easily get full details from their Yahoo! accounts, and flame each other on the League BB there, too, but I was doing it as part of my mission to "educate the unwashed masses" on the beauty of English Premier League football. ;-) What better way than to publicize it in the locker room, no? I know, I know, it's the (footbrawl-loving) Man coming down on the (football-loving) brothers. But I will respect the wishes of the Pantheon, because they have set this up and hosted it for free. We wouldn't "know" each other as well, and have this much fun competing against each other without SpoFi. Until the Pantheon changes their request, I'll lay off the locker room main page posting. BUT I will continue to post the full details here in the comments. And we can continue to trash talk each other here. Let's try it out and see how it goes. btw, ttrendel, which team are you? (It's not always obvious from the Yahoo! IDs.) Cheers, fellas.

Actually, I'd like updates on ALL of the sportsfilter fantasy leauges. Maybe devote an entire section to them, with ongoing comments in each section. That way there would be no need to repost threads, just have the subsections in the fantasy portion of sportsfilter.
