Who-hoo I am basicly last! Stupid websense will not let me check results (or update) during the day =(

eckeric: what's websense? quick tip to all: as soon as you get match results, start making changes to your team. because yahoo only updates player scores and rankings (at the earliest) 24 hours after a day's games are complete, you can usu. get high-scoring players before they go up in value. also: if you're really about winning this thing, remove all emotional ties, and go after players who score high. especially, choose players who are playing two games that week. i've learned this the hard way. oh well, at least i've managed to stay true to liverpool and still get in the points from riise, gerrard and dudek.

So long as I stay above the Villa fan I don't care.

Fat Buddha: I can't wait to see the fireworks when the Midland derby is revived! I mean, the fireworks between you and Big Calm.

especially, choose players who are playing two games that week Ah, that is clever. It is a work filter-proxy thingy: The web page you requested has been identified as containing a reference to adult content, games, information that may be regarded as illegal or tasteless, or other controlled content. Select the Go Back button to return to the previous page. It doesn't seem to like metatalk either, for some reason. Ah well. You would think it would ok to check during lunch. Anyhow, this has been fun so far!

Fireworks? I shall be sitting calmly in my armchair at home (I don't have enough away-ticket stubs to go to St Andrews), sipping iced tea, and smiling as the fourth goal goes in against Birmingham. Hold on though, we've got Graham Taylor. Uh-oh :o(

Will get points for players involved in tonights game, if so, if I then swap them for players involved tomorrow, will I get points for all of them? I won't idulge in flame wars with Big Calm, there is enough claptrap on the football message boards, I come here for civilised discourse. Mind you come September 14 raw emotion might take over...it's primeval.

Fat Buddha: You're right. Maybe there is a world where Blues and Villa fans can live in harmony, September 14th, and March 1st excluded of course. So, no flaming except on those days then!

Fat Buddha: re: your points question ... you will get points only for the players you picked before the weekly deadline. That is, you will get points for the players you picked who played tonight's game if you picked them before last Friday. If you swap them out for next week's games (which means this Saturday, Sunday, and so on until next Friday), you'll still get points for tonight's game. However, you won't get any free points for picking players after they've played their games either. ;-) That's why Yahoo keeps each week's team roster separate from the next. Week 1's selection will not be affected by Week 2's selection, etc. Hope this helps. I'm not sure I fully understood your question, but I think this should cover it. So, another tip: Once the weekly deadline is over, you can start picking players for the next week (as soon as Yahoo makes the link available) without affecting your picks or points for the current week.
