University of Toronto Varsity Blues kick losing ways An 18-17 win over the University of Waterloo Warriors ended the skid at 49 games last night......But a streak this long couldn't end so easily. Waterloo had 21 ticks on the clock left and drove the ball over midfield. With six seconds left on the clock, the Warriors punted and for a few seconds all 2,565 on hand had their hearts in their throats as the ball bounced off return man Matt Morris' hands and fell to the ground on the U of T one-yard line.

Sticks and Balls We were able to enjoy bowling as a thread to a previous existence. An existence that didnt involve struggling with even the simplest of communication attempts. Bowling was a way to feel less lost.

Recalling Al Campanis' 'Nightline' nightmare I turned to my wife, horror-stricken that the man I had invited to honor his old friend was committing professional suicide on live television, and predicted he might not survive this interview.

An Open Letter From Roger Ebert To Jay Mariotti Mariotti is an easy target at the best of times, but his abrupt departure from the Chicago Sun-Times, right after they paid his way to China for the Olympics, left his most distinguished now-former colleague more than a little out of joint. And no one writes a screw-you letter like Roger Ebert.

New Stadiums: Prices, and Outrage, Escalate But even as fans of the Mets, the Yankees, the Giants and the Jets look forward to state-of-the-art stadium architecture, better sightlines, wider concourses and more bathrooms, some of them are also facing startling increases in ticket costs during a serious economic downturn.......The Giants Mara offered a blunt lesson in market-driven economics on WFAN radio this month. We have 130,000 people on our waiting list,-- he said. We could charge anything and still fill the stadium.--

On the other hand they allowed him to either play a different position or go up to the next level. I really dont know what to think about this but I have a 9 year old who I think could hit him :)
