Puerto Rican Track Kills Losing Thoroughbreds In Puerto Rico, many thoroughbreds never make it off the track alive. "More than 400 horses, many in perfect health, are killed each year by lethal injection at a clinic tucked behind the Hipodromo Camarero racetrack, chief veterinarian Jose Garcia told The Associated Press after checking clinic log books going back seven years." Hipodromo Camarero, the territory's only thoroughbred racetrack, races a stable of 1,300 horses five days a week.

Happy is not a word I'd use to describe a person who gets into as much trouble as Daly
Not to start a pitched battle here, but exactly what laws has Daly violated to get into so much trouble? Are we talking city, state, or federal laws, or just the "rules" for expected behavior? Because if it's the latter, I don't let others impose their idea of what constitutes good behavior on me. Daly just wants to live his life according to his own rules.

In California, a lot of DA"s are filing it as felony assault with a deadly weapon in an attempt to discourage fan (road) rage incidents.

For her part, Holtman seems not altogether sure what all the fuss is about. She seems to genuinely believe that any player in her position on any field on any day would have done the same thing. Which helps explains why it did happen on that day and on that field.

Clemens reportedly had affair with country star Roger Clemens has another potential scandal he's already denying. He reportedly had a affair with country singer Mindy McCready in a decade-long relationship that began when she was 15 and Clemens was a 28-year old with the Red Sox. This could be especially damaging as Clemens' defamation suit against Brian McNamee proceeds.

dyams- I agree with terrapin that this post was going a lot better than expected. It's a lot less rude than for example, the brandy thread. I also like the fact that we do get derailed sometimes- the humor here is far better than anything I've seen lately on SNL.
I hope you reconsider.
Clemens has dug himself a much bigger hole and more threads will come.
