BCS under scrutiny from Capitol Hill: The Obama administration is considering several steps that would review the legality of the controversial Bowl Championship Series, the Justice Department said in a letter Friday to a senator who had asked for an antitrust review.

Vick to still play.: "The Associated Press reported that after consulting with the Falcons, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and top league officials agreed Wednesday to let Vick play as the legal process determines the facts. A person with knowledge of the meeting, who requested anonymity so the case would not be influenced, said the NFL would stick to that position for the foreseeable future, despite its new personal conduct policy, the AP reported. Beilein takes UM job.: The ironic thing here is Beilein once complained that the only thing he didn't like about the WVU job was he worked in a place where the football program overshadowed the basketball program. I wonder what he will find at Big Blue?

If there are character issues in the locker room, it his a result of his leadership. I wonder how long it will take for things to blow up at OSU?

Based on the info provided in the two articles, IMO the principal over-reacted. I say this as a practicing public school administrator. However, I am obviously not privy to the info the principal found during his investigation. I would also add, that if the celebration was so over the top, why were no yellow or red cards issued? The article made no mention of game enforced discipline. And before anyone decides to blast me - I have 24 seasons experience as a head soccer coach and I'm very familiar with rules regarding player celebration.

If he wants to stand the entire game, then why did he purchase a SEAT? The Brownies' stadium has ample railing areas where he could stand to his heart's content. There is nothing wrong with standing to celbrate a big play or score, or to join in some team chants, but doing it the entire time is rude to those behind him.

Not that I'm disappointed to see Bob Bradley go, but why the change - Was he fired or was his contract up? I'm happy to see Klinsmann get the job, he was my pick when they gave it to Bradley in the first place. I also hope US Soccer gave him the authority to make changes in the developmental program.

"Good. Now can we move the 2022 World Cup to a more reasonable location?"
Amen to that, I second the motion.

Life itself is a life coach. He is wasting himself if he is unwilling to learn from what has happened and move forward.

I am an admisistrator at a public school. Our track is open to the public when the track team and gym classes are not using it, w/o prior permission. However, no one is allowed on the game field or practice fields w/o permission from the school no matter what time of day. This is SOP for most schools.

I am a Carolina alum and, therefore, hate Dook and Coach K. However, I tip my hat to an amazing feat and say 'Job well done'.

Can anyone think of another incident where a player is caught for some violation during a season, only to be punished the next season? Seems to be ground-breaking precident on the NCAA's part....

6 weeks of training camp for $1.07 million. I don't know too many people who wouldn't take that deal. Obviously not the kind of money he could earn in a career of pro ball, but still would represent many years of good salary for us regular working stiffs.

I think he signed a 4 yr, $5M contract. I wonder how much of that is guaranteed?

'Honey Badger,' 3 other former LSU players arrested
The kid just killed his chances of getting back to LSU or any other major program. Can anyone say Maurice Clarett?
