So, it's Euro 2004 qualifier time again. All over Europe, journalists are summing up 90 mins of goalmouth action in brief spurts of text. England vs Slovakia is well covered, Northern Ireland vs Spain isn't. But El Mundo (translation) is giving it quite a go. HUUUUUYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! (and it's still 0-0!)

France to host Rugby World Cup 2007: - having won the approval of rugby nations in Dublin on Thursday. England, who lost out, wanted to change the structure of the tournament, with two competitions, one each for developing and established nations, but it wasn't to be.

The USA and Spain, meanwhile, will meet on Saturday in Madrid, (second leg in Florida at the end of April) to decide who grabs the last qualifying place for World Cup 2003

The University of California Berkeley rugby team dominates the sport.

Sorry for double post, just thought of something - mismatches happen at international level, not just college level. The qualification matches for the 2003 Rugby World Cup, particularly those involving Ireland, got messy, while this test will go down in history..

A really interesting article for a European rugby fan (ie me), but just so you know, you get five points for a TRY in rugby, not a touchdown. Oh, and, contrary to what it says on the last page, players can leave the field and return, if it's because they are bleeding.
