Chris Simon cheap shot (via YouTube). The clothesline with the stick to Hollweg's face put the Rangers on the PP, allowing them to capitalize and score the GW goal. There has been talk on sports radio this morning that they would like to see Simon suspended into next year.

The NHL ought to send Simon and Bertuzzi to MTV for a brand new CELEBRITY DEATH MATCH!!!

Pena has mentors in Ortiz, Manny
"Born and raised in Laguna Salada in the Dominican Republic (Ortiz and Ramirez are from Santo Domingo), Pena grew up in a modest home with his brother, Hannsel, now a Minor League player with the Reds, and two sisters. He was signed to a Major League contract by the Yankees at the age of 17 in 1998 in a move that later proved to be a blessing and a curse. The good part is that the money helped the Penas out of poverty. The not-so-good part of the big-money deal was that it rushed his development, exposing him to Major League competition before he was ready.

He's off to a good start! Mo doubled and brought in & scored a run in his only at bat....

That's great, but the pitcher he was traded for has more homeruns.

NHL Attendance for November Best in League History I was one of these naysayers that thought hockey was screwed because of the lockout. I guess this just comes to show you that so called "experts" aren't always correct.

I am faithful to my team now, just as, if not more than before. I'm glad it's back.

Mess goes to the rafters... Former New York Rangers captain Mark Messier's number 11 will be retired tonight at Madison Square Garden. His magnificent career includes six Stanley Cups to go with his two Hart Memorial Trophies, two Lester B. Pearson Trophies, and one Conn Smythe Trophy, not to mention the undying gratitude of Rangers fans everywhere.

Thanks, Mess. The man is greatly appreciated by NY. I myself cheered the TV tonight.
