I've been following City through three divisions of English football, with the nagging reminder that we haven't won a legitimate trophy since the 1976 League Cup and a major trophy since the 1969 FA Cup. It's been rough. Ten years ago we were in Division Two. Just ten years ago. Now look.
Sure, Liverpool and Man United supporters will say you can't buy history, but you know what? We just bought a future.

If you think about Oklahoma City's proximity to and history with Tinker Air Force Base, and the fact that the Midwest City High School (for the unacquainted: the suburb in which Tinker AFB is primarily located) nickname/mascot is the Bombers, then I don't think that Bombers is too terribly inappropriate. It wouldn't be in poor taste at all and the people who are repeatedly saying that it is are the ones who need to pull their heads out of their behinds.

Part of a bad season with Macclesfield, one season with MK Dons, and he's ready for the top flight? I suppose it's better than Newcastle's attempt to get Alan Shearer to be their manager.

Thaksin was NOT thinking. He's not a football guy and, more than likely, looks at City as a really expensive toy he can show off. Hughes is a step down in terms of managerial pedigree, but maybe he can surprise.

When I lived in Norman, Capel use to come in to my former place of employment with his wife. They were just normal folks, coming in wearing their work out clothes and stuff.
