From Bad to Worse for Maurice Clarett The ex-Ohio State running back was arrested early this morning after a traffic stop. After struggling with officers, Clarett, who is already awaiting trial on robbery charges, was hit with the stun gun, which was ineffective, because he was wearing a bulletpfoof vest. After he was Maced, it still took "several officers" to subdue and cuff Clarett, who was carrying four loaded weapons in his SUV.

Now they are postponing the hearing to wait for results of a mental stability test.......WOW that is a hard one to judge. Just imagine the types of things he would do (and probably get away with) if he had made it in the NFL, and had millions stacked up.

Ex-girlfriend accuses Tigers' Young of choking her Detroit Tigers designated hitter Dmitri Young was charged with domestic violence after his former girlfriend accused him of choking her, the Detroit Free Press reported Thursday.

Sports Icon? What has he done for the Tigers, or any team he has played for? Calling him a sports icon is like comparing Darko to Shaq.

Lions trade Harrington to Dolphins The Miami Dolphins acquired quarterback Joey Harrington from Detroit for an undisclosed conditional draft pick, giving the Dolphins a fallback position if new starter Daunte Culpepper isn't ready for the season's first snap.

Good Riddance to another sorry ass quarterback. By mid season, he'll be crying about something else just like he has done here.

3,000 Square Feet of Trouble Could a $757,500 house lived in by Reggie Bush's family cause every game he has played in to be forfeited?

The players make millions for the schools, and get next to nothing in return. If someone offered his family a house to stay in so he would sign with an agent, who cares.... Did it make him run faster, or a better player?

Marcus Vick's downward spiral continues... The former Virginia Tech quarterback, kicked off the team last week for unsportsmanlike behavior and legal troubles, now has more of the latter, after allegedly brandishing a gun during an argument in a McDonald's parking lot.

Just another example of a person thinking they are above the law because of who they are. He would be sorry if he actuall is charged and is punished for it. But he won't, they will give him a sorry ass punishment, like picking up garbage on the side of the road, when a everyday Joe would get some time locked up.

Vick kicked off Virginia Tech's football squad. Wow! I knew Vick would get some kind of punishment for that flagrant display of bad sportsmanship at the Gator Bowl, but I didn't think the university would have the balls to throw him off the team. It sounds too good to be true, but Tech used some pretty explicit statements; if they bring him back, they'll have crow dinner for a couple weeks. As it looks now though, I'm taking 2-1 odds on him getting a transfer.

It is about time that a school sends the message that one person, regardless of who they are or who their family is, doesn't take priority over the team. The sad thing is, Marcus will declare for the draft, make millions, and keep being an a$$.

They are marching in the streets in Detroit. If there is one thing people from Detroit know how to do, it's get pissed off. Maybe it's time. I don't think this team is going anywhere until Ford sells it to someone who WANTS to win.

I am actually a Patriots fan, but I would like to be a Lions fan at some point in my lifetime. There is something about being able to root for your home city team.

How many rebuilding plans must we go through? It is because of the ineptness of the Kitty Cats, oh... I mean Lions, that I am fan of another team. Pretty sad, even though the entire organization sucks, the games still sell out. If you want to make a statement, stop going to the games, then Ford will feel the hit, and maybe sell out to someone else. But they cant run a car company, so how in the world could they run a team.

This is why the Yankees keep losing. Its Stienbrenners own fault. He doesn't know anything about sports and should stop knocking his staff that does. They don't make the team, they inherit them. I have to side with Mel.

OK, chemistry may not be THAT important, but with the entire team on edge, because they dont know what he'll do next, it makes it a little difficult for them to concentrate on the game. In their minds they are probably thinking, "if I go hitless in 2 games he might trade me, or release me" so they force it, and that is when the strikeouts rise for the hitters, and the pitchers start to 'aim' the ball, and give up homers and walks.

A-Rod's mom: Uncle's death affected performance Alex Rodriguez played poorly in the Yankees' American League Division Series loss in part because he was saddened by the death of the uncle who raised him, the slugger's mother said in an interview published in a local newspaper Sunday.

I could maybe see a lesser performance in A game, but not the series. Also, last time I checked, 1 player doesn't make a team, not even A-Rod, if it did, then he would have a few rings by now!

George needs to realize that just having a 'Hall of Fame' team doesn't mean that the rest of the league will lay down and give them the series. Has he ever heard of team chemistry???
