here comes the phillies The Phillies I believe will come in second in the wild-card to the Houston Astros. It will be extremely close. The Phillies lead the NL with the highest OBP. They have an extremely middle of the lineup with Abreu, Burrell, Utley, and now Ryan Howard. The poor man's Yankees(very poor comparatively) has an average starting rotation but like the Yankees a great bullpen with Wagner, Urbina, and Madson. I believe that if they get 5-6 innings out of their starters every game they could win the wild-card. Thats a big "if". What do you think will the Phillies make the playoffs?

Will The Phoenix Suns Be Any Good? Quentin Richardson and Joe Johnson were both traded in the offseason. With Quentin they lost his three-point ability, and with Johnson they lost a great defender and reserve off the bench. Even though they gained Kurt Thomas, an average defender at best because of his age, the Phoenix will not succeed because again San Antonio Spurs will once again stand in their way. What does everybody else think?

Will the NHL succeed? The NHL stopped its lock out a couple of months ago. Dany Heatley, a player involved in a car accident with a teammate that was killed, was traded to Ottawa for Martin Hossa. With characters like Dany Heatley and Todd Bertuzzi, will the NHL be able to succeed?

Will Tiger Woods Beat Snead's Record Sam Snead has the most tour wins ever on the PGA tour. Most think that Tiger Woods is just aiming to break the majors record, which he many, but in fact he is also aiming to break Snead's seemingly unreachable record. Tiger Woods won at the WGC-NEC invitational bringing his career PGA wins to 45. I believe that soon the rest of the field will catch Tiger in driving distance as he begins to age, but knowing Tiger Woods one can never count him out. What do you guys think?

"Are you guys ready for the Williams sisters?" Serena and Venus Williams both advanced out of the third round of the US Open today and into a round of sixteen Sister Slam matchup, the earliest the two have met in a tournament since the 1998 Australian Open. Serena made it to the next round by dishing some payback to Francesca Sciavone in the afternoon, 6-3, 6-4, while Venus dropped Daniela Hantuchova in the evening match, 6-3, 6-3.

3 sets, 3 tiebreakers and Roddick is out to the 22 year old Luxembourg native Gilles Muller who doesn't even warrant a profile pic on CBS's website.

Did you guys actually see the match? Muller was hitting 120 mph slice serves out wide or down the line. He was catching lines on almost every single point. He had some 60 odd winners. Muller played almost Federer-esque, setting Roddick up then blasting a punishing ground stroke. Muller will lose because he got lucky and played the best he ever will. Andy on the other hand had his serve in a moderate groove, but it was his backhand that killed him, he only had 2 backhand winners the whole game. I don't know why he expects to win against people using his forehand and his serve. He needs to develop a dominant two-handed backhand or it will get attacked just like it did yesterday.
How does Kansas City rank with the worst teams ever? I believe that Kansas City will become one of the worst team ever to play baseball. They are a triple A team at their very best. They would be better suited for double A. They have no payroll so I doubt they will ever improve. Their owners are penny-pinching money hogs. I feel bad for the fans of Kansas City. The Royals will lose 110 games. Have mercy. What is the worst team in all of baseball?

the KC royals have the fourth lowest value in the major leagues..two teams below them is the Oakland A's and Minnesota Twins both playoff contenders. At Forbes.com it is shown that the royals are actually making money every year....while most playoff contenders and in debt. it just goes to show to make money you need to spend...and also for most teams spending money=winnings... the royals don't fit the mold of the A's and twins...so they need to get better management or richer owners

you are forgetting one guy who is really important Shawn Marion... he is a great shooter, great rebounder, and can play almost all positions expect center... he can help take the load off steve nash.... if the suns can get a good backup point guard they could be good for years to come

serena i am sorry to say this is a little overweight...maybe we should get her on Celebrity Fit Club....i believe that venus will put serena away in two sets 7-6, 6-3. Venus has been striking the ball too well, and most importantly is actually fit, serena should rest and think about whether she wants to play tennis or not. she says that she is dedicated but yet she still hasn't slimmed down back into playing weight.
