After losing her pole: and having to stop uphill, Stefania Belmondo (Italy) won the gold in the 15 KM cross-country free style. Amazing in the fact in that she managed to recover and was just a breath away from Katerina Neumannova. Simply amazing, and suspenseful at the end.

Stupid worthless non-sport's governing body to eat its young next month.

I have a feeling that ice skating isn't as subjective as you make it out to be. As the moz pointed out, the strike zone seems subjective to those who don't know the official rules (what is it? between the elbows and the knees?)

Actually, yesterday I was trying to find out the cities who bid for the olympics in any given year. Does anyone know about where I could find that? I had some success finding the cities in recent years but not anything earlier then say the Atlanta olympics.

After losing her pole

On a different note, where's the place where the cool kids get their Olympic info? The official MSNBCCCPLMNOP one is crap.

The Lennox Lewis-Mike Tyson fight has the blessing of the World Boxing Council

Tyson is dangerous. He should really be locked up, but man... I can't wait to see this.
