That's a whole 'nother type of racing!

tell me what athletic move are these racers doing? yes they are busy, g-forces can drain, and it can be mentally draining. why is it that the guys that dont qualify, or single team owners aren't at the top? EQUIPMENT! thank you!

i never said they didnt need to be fit or was it easy, read what i said again. Is a fit person an athelete? They are getting in a car pushing the gas down, what athletic about that - the part where they dont fall on their ass doing it? Racing is all about equipment - and having it dialed in. most racers are little pip-squeaks - between them and jockeys you arent going to find a ton of 6 footers.

whats to say? racing is all about equipment - any woman can turn a steering wheel as equally good as a man can. Racers are not atheletes - they are personalities. Jeff Gordon is hardly a dominating physical presence.

She struck out everybody

Ila Borders was brought into the Northern League(St.. Pual Saints)by Mike Veeks, the Barnum and Baily family of baseball. They are, and his dad was a promotional guru - she was nothing more than an attraction. She bounced around the Nothern League as other teams tried to sttract some female fans to their league. Her record and ERA was not that good. Her fastball was low 80's - she went on to pitch with a female baseball team - Siver streaks i believe. Its cool that the girl can pitch, but if they have softball available to her - isnt this undoing what title IX was supposed to? Or is it just that team - trying "to win at all costs"?

They're actually doing it.

I do not agree with the gov't getting involved. However this is more about high schoolers and college players damaging their lives to try to attain a professional goal. This stuff kills, mutilates and maims people. Pitchers take the stuff to recover faster, high school players can pitch almost unlimited innings, same with minor leaguers that arent bonus babies that the organization has tons of money sunk in to. Football player want to be stronger faster, better - but going to college is teh only way to the pros- so if major college players are doing them to get to the next level, wouldnt they do them as well to get to college, and a major program and get playing time? Basketball and hcokey will see an increase - so why not stop it right now - Selig is an idiot and has played the whole issue wrong. NFL does its best - The other two are just wishing that their league had the TV revenues and contracts to compete. The NBA will be the next league to shut down shop - the players make too much, and the tv dollars are going to dwindle. Nobody wants to see tatooed pot heads and gang bangers displaying lack of decency on tv. If they did they'd be at the movies or renting a dvd.
