It's time to pitch the DH. The most astonishing occurrence in the first six weeks of the baseball season — other than the decline of my World Series favorites, the Seattle Mariners, who played like the Seattle Pilots — was that the National League outscored the American League.

I do not like the DH as it takes a lot of strategy from the game. When to use a pitch hitter for the pitcher. My question would be? Why did any team not pick up Barry Bonds. Especially the Yankees or Red Sox. They seem to stop at nothing in order to win and money does not seem to matter. Barry no doubt had a few dingers left in his bat.

Clemens reportedly had affair with country star Roger Clemens has another potential scandal he's already denying. He reportedly had a affair with country singer Mindy McCready in a decade-long relationship that began when she was 15 and Clemens was a 28-year old with the Red Sox. This could be especially damaging as Clemens' defamation suit against Brian McNamee proceeds.

This shows you the morals that most lawyers have, none.

Does speed kill? A thorough analysis of PitchFx data reveals some interesting things about fastball speed.

Nolan was at his best and un-hittable when he had the curve going. That is why he has 7 no-hitters. The seven no-hitters and his career strikeout record are two that will last a long time.

"The chief executive officer of Tribune Company says he won't hesitate to sell the naming rights to Wrigley Field -- even if baseball purists don't like the idea. Zell has a suggestion for the makers of DoubleMint and Juicy Fruit.

'Perhaps the Wrigley Company will decide after getting it for free for so long that's time to pay for it,' he said."

$$$$$$ rule. That is why I am turned off on pro sports. College is somewhat better. The Horseshoe, The Big House, Tiger Stadium, good college names that have withstood the $$$$ push.

Belichick and Pioli speak out. A Boston Globe report on Walsh's videos and his firing. Also Belichick speaks about why he taped other teams and it's prority in his preparation.

If he was not clear on the rule, he should have asked the league for clarity. He knew what he was doing. It is hard to plead ignorance on this one. But this is the direction our nation is headed. What has happened to a man's word?

ESPN's Dana Jacobson learns the Internet is always listening I didn't even learn about this until Jacobson apologized on her show Monday morning, but the question remains: Was one week away from the job that ESPN gave Dana enough of a consequence? Swilling vodka straight from the bottle at the podium and cursing Jesus?

We should not judge as Christians and be forgiving, but the fact remains that in the end we have to anwser to God. When He asks why should I let you into my heaven, what will you say!!!!

Adolf Hitler, Cowboys Fan Translated from the original German, this YouTube video poignantly captures how every NFL fan feels when your 13-3 team goes one-and-done in the playoffs after your quarterback spends his off week in Cabo with Jessica Simpson. Funny everywhere but Dallas.

Classic, I hate the cowboys anyway.

Jim Brown calls out Tiger Woods I thought that Tiger handled this very well. Apparently Jim Brown thinks Tiger should have called in Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

As long as statments about race stir the feelings as these postings reflect, then society as a whole has a long way to go. These feelings will probably never go away. Look at history. Always some poor SOB to make fun of and ridicule. It is a sad sad world.

USC's Carroll intersted in Falcons opening but why would he go to the Pros where he's a proven winner in the college ranks, and a loser in the pros?

How about loads of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$? That usually changes most minds. Five to seven million a year, coach a few years, win or lose, retire before 60 years old, not to shabby.

Home sweet home: LSU tops OSU in BCS Championship LSU rolled to a 38-24 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes to claim its second national title in five seasons.

I agree with cjets that a one plus one BCS game would be a bad move. They keep fixing the BCS with tweak after tweak and it never gets any better. The other football divisions have a 16 team playoff system and they get a winner every time. The old excuse was that the players were student-athletics and a playoff system would take them out of the classroom. This was being said when the teams had a 10 game regular season. Years later, a 12 game regular season, a conference championship for some and a bowl game. LSU played 14 games as did Florida, Vir Tech, Boston College, Oklahoma, Missouri, Conference USA teams. Reduce the regular season and have the bowl sites host the playoff games. Win-Win for all. If the PAC 10 and Big 10 do not agree, let them play with themselves. The rest of the world gets playoff games and a true national champ and as a couple of posts stated, Maybe nomore "JUMPER" ads.
