Modern era semi-finalists for Hall of fame Modern era semi-finalists Wide receiver Chris Carter and Cornerback Darryl Green are the only first year eligible players to make the list,but do they have the stats to make it the first time?

Hall of Fame shouldn't be about raw stats only. Darrell Green is viewed by many, including former opposing receivers, as the "definitive" CB. If I could vote, I wouldn't usually vote for a first year eligible, but I'd make an exception for Green. Chris Carter: Maybe in a couple of years. Regarding Art Monk, He should go in. He had a great impact in the League when he was playing and is the kind of player I'd expect to see when visiting the Hall of Fame. I'd better quit before I start sounding like a Redskins fan.
