Sports Bio
I'm a huge baseball fan, more specifically I root for the Red Sox. While I've never attended a playoff game, I did have the priviledge of sitting in on Derek Lowe's no hitter. I've been a fan of the Sox since 1977 when I attended my first game at Fenway. I also have been a Celtics fan since 1980 and a UCONN basketball fan since the arrival of coach Calhoun. My favorite NFL team is the 49ers, but I haven't had much to root for lately.

Regardless of Schillings comments, I find it kind of funny that sportswriters vote for any sports awards. Do all the players get together and cast their vote for the Pulitzer prize winner for sportswriting.
