Agent says odd circumstances let to substandard deal for T.O. What would a NFL off-season be without another "poor me" story from T.O.? Now T.O. has been reduced to tears on TV, saying he may have to hold out after one year played on his seven year contract! Every dictionary from this point forward should include two separate definitions of the word "contract." One should relate to the word 99.9 percent of the human population understand "contract" to mean, and the other definition should be what pro athletes feel it means.

I never knew marijuana was a performance-enhancing drug. Four potential NFL draftees test positive.

Jermaine O'Neal plays the race card. In a nutshell, the NBA wants an age limit in the next CBA. O' Neal calls the idea racist. Of course, he has nothing to back that up, but that's never stopped anyone before. Thoughts?

oneal is right but i rather see high schoolers go to college and they should have an age limit b/c i think college networks are losin some great players to make ratings imagine we saw kobe r lebron james in college these days it looks like they pick anyone out of highschool plus i think it sucks that highschoolers are picked as #1 instead college players thats disrespect for college ballers who proven why they play hard and why most of the time they more mature out college. highschoolers should should be the last #20-30 players to be drafted.
38 Minor Leaguers Suspended This coming a day after Alex Sanchez became the first Major League player to be suspended for failing a drug test. Looking at the 38 players and their respective teams, it seems to be a team problem with steroids. The Mariners top the list with 8 players, followed by the Cubs with 7. The Athletics, Rangers, and Angels all have 5 offenders. The Padres have 4, the rockies have 2, and the Cardinals and White Sox each have 1 offender a piece. If there is such a problem in the minor league level, how is the problem not ending up at the major league level all the time? Something more than a 15 day suspension and a slap on the wrist needs to be done to these steroid users that are ruining the way the game is susposed to be played.

Monty not Japanese enough to play in Masters... Colin Montgomery didn't get an invite to this year's tournament because the organisers gave the last invite to Shingo Katayama from Japan. This BBC article says that Hootie Johnson (Masters chairman) "hinted" that this was done to keep Japanese TV happy - for my money, he pretty much just said it.

Guilty of Stupidity on All Counts Charlie Haddad, 21, was sentenced today to two years probation, 10 weekends of supervised community service, 100 hours of additional community service, substance abuse and anger management classes, and $1,040 in fines. His crime? Confronting athletes on the court during the Pistons-Pacers basketbrawl, which got his face punched by both Ron Artest and Jermaine O'Neal. Haddad has filed a civil suit alleging injuries to his head, neck, and back.

those guys gettin a settlement would be stupid as fans we overreacted stupid but u gotta be smart to get on the court to act like that a player has the right to hit a fan by my book b/c if u goin go on the court when two players from different teams are at each other it dont give us the right to provoke the players. the only time i think a fan should go on the court if hes allowed by officials r the team won the championship finals to celebrate with them. yea we pay good money but theres some kind of respect. and i still dont blame artest to beat the guy ass even though he had nothin to do with the cup b/c he still stand up like he was goin to do something. and furthermore, even though im not pacer fan but the players should serve just community service instead of bein suspended for the rest of the season or at least fined him about 600,000 for it so he could think twice next time. if randy moss could be fined for a fake mooning so the nba could fined allot for the real thing.

"Holding a hearing on steroids in baseball without Bonds would be like an inquiry into the Titanic sinking without mentioning the iceberg." Dave Zirin on the Congressional Hearings being conducted to cope with the problem of Steroids in baseball. He discusses why Bonds was not subpoenaed, and why Dennis Kuchinich is not to be trusted.

At 20, MJ was no LeBron King James has succeded Kobe as the bearer of the next Jordan burden and perhaps the greatest tribute to that kid is that you don't hear that question anymore.

Armstrong to go for a 7th consecutive Tour in 2005. There had been much speculation that he would give this year's event a miss, choosing to focus on the Spring Classics and a possible attempt at the hour record instead -- but perhaps unsurprisingly, come July, Lance will be in Fromentine attempting to break yet more records.
