Oregon State Shocks No. 3 USC 33-31 This is going to shake up the rankings!

eccsport78 Read aloud again...USC is in a rebuilding year, not in contention for national championship!! Losses are expected in a rebuilding year, Cal is certainly an upcoming expected loss, as well as perhaps Oregon. So yes, a Notre Dame victory, reducing THEIR bowl contention, would make this a positive season.

This loss was coming. Remember, this is a rebuilding year for USC....A rebuilding year with a 6-1 record so far isn't bad. But as a USC fan, we could loose every game, as long as we beat Notre Dame, the season is a success!! Brady will fall in LA on November 25th, along with their obese coach......

USC complains Musburger gave away team sign Southern California formally complained that ABC-TV's Brent Musburger revealed privileged information in play-by-play commentary during Saturday's game against Nebraska.

bperk, TBH: First of all I am an accountant! Second, the reference to your profession not being an atty meant that if you were, you would be literate and be able to read and understand what I wrote.

Gee, I don't see where I stated that Musberger was the 1st person to ever use the "Caines" as the team name..... But then again you referred to yourself in your personal profile as "Be kinda weird if I was a girl named Thomas" so I guess an attorney your not. Oh well!

Ten years ago when Miami was the collegete powerhouse to beat, Musberger began referring to them as the "Caines" because he was so cool, he couldn't call them the Hurricanes!! Suprised he didn't call last week's game between the Troj's and the Corn's.....................

You Have Just Witnessed Possibly The Greatest "Do Not Erase" TiVO Moment in Dodgers History (Unless you're Kevin Towers, who was busy making out his Christmas card list.)

Gosh, you'd almost believe they aren't Bums!!!!!! They actually played like a real major leage baseball team! Very Exciting.

#1 vs #2 Rematch of last years 25-22 thriller won by Texas, but Texas has replaced Vince Young with redshirt freshman Colt McCoy, while Ohio State counters with fifth year senior Troy Smith, who is a good 'un. Should be a barn burner.

Too bad USC isn't also playing. They'll move into No 2 without sweating..........

Win or Go Home The NBA has changed the playoff seeding rules to value won-loss record over winning a division, ending the situation that allowed the best-record Spurs to meet the second-best Mavs in the second round instead of the Western Conference finals.

Lets face it, its all about money. The old days in baseball allowed conference seeding so the best in the National and American Leagues won the pennent and went to the World Series. Now there are lots of playoff games so money can be made for tix & concessions. Its a sign of the times. Money first, sport second.

Braves Beef up Bullpen with Baez The Atlanta Braves, who recently aquired veteran Bob Wickman from Cleveland, aquired another reliever to strengthen their bullpen. Does the addition of Baez make the Braves favorites to win the wildcard?

If he does for the Braves what he did for the Dodgers, they will finish in last place!!! RIP...

Congrats to Barry, but I feel sorry for his father Bobby. Now there was a class baseball player, who now will have to deal with this contriversy for now on.

Deja vu? Lebron, Michael...Michael, LeBron Isn't it funny how history seems to repeat itself? First, it was Michael who couldn't solve Detroit's defense when it was crunch time in his baby steps into the NBA Playoffs. Now it seems to be LeBron's turn. I wouldn't want to be on the defensive end next year against LeBron, not with another year of maturity and renewed drive to push even further. He's gonna be scary good.

Can't argue that LeBron is a superlative player who will only get better with more years of experience. Experience is the key to both LeBron and the Cav's future success. Look what experience it did for Kobe Bryant. Although he'll never be as good, but with practice, its possible that LeBron will play in the same league as Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant.
