Should Duke Drop Football? Raleigh News & Observer columnist Caulton Tudor says so. At least, he says they should drop to Division I-AA.

Will Wie make history? Michelle Wie competes for a spot in the men's U.S. Open on Monday in a 36-hole sectional qualifier at Canoe Brook Country Club in New Jersey. She needs to finish in the top 18 out of 153 entrants to earn a trip to Winged Foot. Needless to say, if she succeeds, it will be a first for a woman golfer to earn a spot in the men's U.S. Open, not to mention a 16-year-old girl still in high school.

I don't really care if Wie tries qualifying for the U.S. Open. If you're allowed to try, it doesn't matter who you are, you should still have that shot. However, if her best round is a 68 playing with dudes, unless the men royally screw up, there isn't much of a shot that she'll make it. Plus, I'm kinda tired of the hype this girl gets. Blast at me all you people want, but I ain't gonna get excited over her until she finally wins a tournament.

Sources: Favre to play '06 season for Packers Brett Favre informed the Packers on Tuesday that he will definitely play the 2006 season in Green Bay, league and team sources have told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

I'm a Favre and Packer fan, I'll just say that right now. Anyway, Brett did make bad decisions in games, but it used to be that those same decisions would work because he had recievers who could actually CATCH the ball. The best one the Packers had last year just walked out on them. Plus, whenever I watched a Packer game, the O-line sucked balls. 29 interceptions does speak for itself, but not all of the blame goes on Brett. By the way, I agree with Atheist on the division. This year, it will be so wide open that if the Packers have a winning year again, they might make it to division champ. So there.
USC's 2004 BCS Championship Could Be In Jeopardy All thanks to Mr. Bush, if he his ruled ineligible for as much as one game the BCS could look to take away USC's 2004 championship. Funny how that potential three-pete could turn into only a share of a championship.

Ditto, sleepingchicken, this whole thing about Bush is just a bunch of shit. Reggie did nothing, his family bought the house from the agent, so they brought on the violation. Plus, they can't take away the title. What would they do, give it to the losing team? USC deserved the championship and this whole controversey is just over some guy trying to weasle in a few bucks for himself.
Clippers end 30 year drought with a victory against the Denver Nuggets, making it the first time since 1976 that they advance to the second round of the playoffs. The possibility of two lower seeds winning it out in the West certainly exists, and Sacramento seems to be right back in it. The West picture is definitely looking a lot more competitive than most envisioned, but can the Clippers advance any further? Will the two Los Angeles teams finally go head-to-head in the playoffs? If so, have the Clippers converted enough fans to have an inkling of home court advantage in that series?

NFL Draft Recap How did your team do, who was the best/worst and who forgot to tell the Bears that no matter what, you're only allowed 11 defensive players on the field at one time?

Even though I go for Duke whenever they play, I always figured they didn't do as much for football as they do for basketball
