Vick to still play. "The Associated Press reported that after consulting with the Falcons, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and top league officials agreed Wednesday to let Vick play as the legal process determines the facts. A person with knowledge of the meeting, who requested anonymity so the case would not be influenced, said the NFL would stick to that position for the foreseeable future, despite its new personal conduct policy, the AP reported. Vote for Bob! You have to keep your head on a swivel when you find yourself in a vicious... uh... doll fight. And putting a head on a swivel is just what the Portland Beavers are looking to do with their next promotion: making a bobblehead doll in the image of Bob L. Head. After a spring search nationwide for people named Bob L. Head, the Beavers have given the nod to three candidates. Shaking off the rest of the field appears to be, well, Bob L. Head from Maquoketa, Iowa, who is not only getting the most thorough campaign coverage, but he also has a daughter named Bob L. Head. Weird.
Remember, your vote counts, but I'm telling you right now there is just no way the winner won't get a big head.

Will Tank make the trip? Cook County Judge John J Moran will determine today if he will suspend Johnson's house arrest allowing him to travel to the Super Bowl.

The courts obligation is to guarantee he appears for his hearings, and doesnt skip town. Since he had already been granted travel outside of the state, this should have been a no brainer.Plus the Judge probably had season tickets and going to the game :) Glad to see the right call made here
Steelers Aren't So Grimm after all The Steelers hire Mike Tomlin as their new head coach, instead of media darling and heir apparent Russ Grimm.

"No one can question the Rooney Rule when it comes to the Steelers now." Which is exactly why I think Tomlin got the nod. As a Steeler fan, I think the wrong choice was made and would like to have seen the inside man-Grimm-given a chance. But it is all said and done, and they will move on and build the future. Good luck Steelers
One Toke Over The Line, Ron Mexico... Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick "reluctantly" turned over a water bottle to TSA agents at the Miami-Dade International Airport yesterday. Upon closer inspection, the bottle had a hidden compartment containing "a dark particulate" and emanating "a pungent aroma closely associated with marijuana." Considering that Ron Mexico's had at least one TSA problem before, why would you even try to get something through security?

I can hear his excuses now..."Hey it came that way out of the vending machine"...or "Its not my fault, the cahier at Starbucks gave it to me"... Oh, and by the way, they must have ran out of country last names and started using U.S states... Respectfully; Bruno California
Boise State Wins Fiesta in Unforgettable Fashion After a wild finish that defies description, the Boise State Broncos knocked off the favored Oklahoma Sooners 43-42 in overtime at the Fiesta Bowl, using a hook-and-lateral touchdown with seven seconds left, wide receiver option pass for a touchdown, and statue of liberty play for a winning two-point conversion in overtime when they could have tied the game with a kick. To cap off the storybook ending, Ian Johnson, the star running back who scored on the play, ran off the field, dropped to a knee, and proposed to a Boise State cheerleader on live television.

I too stayed up to watch the best college game of my life-it had it all from the heavily favored making the 17 point comeback(27-10 I believe, correct me if I'm wrong)to them (OK)taking the lead with 1:02 left in regulation-to the 4th & 18 hook & lateral by Boise State, to OK scoring easily on the first play of OT-to the Statue of Liberty 2 pt conversion-I woke up my wife and kids by yelling, at first for OK, whom I had money on, and then for the excitement of the upset I just witnessed. Great year Broncos-Your shot at a BS game will come

What I'm saying bperk, is that the jail time will allow him to get his priorities in line,(like his 8 week old daughter), Im not saying I wish him to rot in his cell. He did the crime and deserves his time is the law enforcement background in me not the vindictive fan.

Chico; Why do we have to turn this into a "OSU Fan" bash. I am a die hard buckeye fan, and I can honestly say that as a fan this is the best thing thats happened to the program since all his mishaps started. This prison time may shape him up or it may not.But as a fan, I dont see the "Vindictiveness" from the fan base any more than there would be from any other college/pro sport fan base. Give us buckeyes a break, we are looking to put this episode in our past.
Greece celebrates stunning upset. Why did the U.S. lose to Greece? Try three words... but don't panic...yet.

i'd have to totally agree with bperk, it has nothing to do with vicks position on the team or the money that he brings to the NFL.Pac man has a long list of"Proven" and charged offenses, thus warranting the suspension
