Should Duke Drop Football? Raleigh News & Observer columnist Caulton Tudor says so. At least, he says they should drop to Division I-AA.

The "clutchiest" hits in MLB playoff history.
From Ortiz to Branca, from Brosius to Gibson, a semi-statistical breakdown of the biggest hits in MLB playoff history. So who had the clutchiest hit ever?
Tony Womack?!

i'll never forget fransisco carbrera's hit to drive in sid bream in 1992. i don't think i've ever been so exciting in my life! it was what makes sports so great!!!!!!! the range of emotions during that whole game was unbelievable.........damn that was a great moment in my life......we must learn to treasure all the great moments in our life!
and as for the braves.......wait until next year!

The Braves 14 division titles was a great success, but how many World Series did they win.
Better than that, how many did they make it to? Winning the division is one thing.
But all the good teams they had,one would think they would have a few more W.S. Champs than they do.
Like you said ...wait till next year

can baseball fans please just give the braves the credit they deserve and stop mentioning their lack of success in the playoffs. namely the world series. that argument/comment is been so overdone and has become tiresome. i don't even care......the braves have always beeen my team and they always will be. let it be. i just love baseball.
University of Phoenix gets naming rights to Cardinals stadium The Arizona Cardinals played for 18 years at a college stadium in Tempe. Now the University of Phoenix, the nation's largest private university, will pay the NFL team $154.5 million over the next 20 years to put its name on the Cardinals' new home.

College Football Rankings - Week 1 Are you ready for some college football? The polls are out. I'm very surprised that Oklahoma is still #5 after having their quarterback tossed for the season.

i agreee with most in that the early polls do not mean much, especially since #1 and #2 face off early and oklahoma just lost their quarterback. if notre dame and sc stay undefeated til they meet that will be interesting!.......finally it's nice to see nebraska in the top 25 again....GO BIG RED!

i concur with Venicemenace. Don't hate. i still cannot get over that last play....4th and 6 and USC drops back into a zone with not even a spy????????????!!!!!!Yikes that hurt and was so dumb!!!!........i hope USC doesn't slide because of last year.
At 30, Tiger becomes youngest to 50 PGA wins Unreal accomplishment. What makes it even more amazing is the fact he did it in 3 less years than Jack did it. It is mind boggling to think that Tiger has 50 wins in 196 tournaments (25.5%).

i was able to see jack in the last years of his prime and i truly have to say, there was no one better than he. when he went out to play, he played with more focus, self-discipline, and of course skill than anyone out there. most importantly, he played with and taught me and others the greatest lesson and that was course management. nobody was better at that. he was not the athlete and did not possess the more natural skills of the great tiger. but overall, his respect for the game and determination is matched by no other.
Drive for Show; Putt for Dough Brilliant performance!

the whole tournament disappointed me!. i cannot believe how easy the course played for a major event. the major. last year at st. andrews was the same. these courses are playing way too easy for these players. more than half the field was under par. i think the whole tournament like last years was a bore! tiger lame tears included. give me a break! major tournaments should be more like the u.s. open. when it come to difficultly, etc.....

hey dyams i'm not jealous of the guy or bitter. i was simply trying to explain that everything isn't always as "ideal" as it or appears. we humans just like to make events so idealistic and dramatic. and golf is just a game/sport. get over yourself! and who uses the word nitwit anyway.
posted at 10:40 AM CDT on July 24
you know dyams you are a nitwit. i do not engage in obcenity either by the way. but what is your love-affair with tiger anyway he did not dominate the field if you look at the score board. and i agree with judgedread, if the open had been a true championship test he would not have faired as well! i do agree with the pebble beach win, however, but that was when he's was playing his best golf. every great golfer gets a win in that matter as well.
I hate the mets.
