What the World Needs Now, is Football, Sweet Football: Lost amidst the cavalcade of tennis updates, there are two, count 'em, two, SportsFilter Fantasy Football Leagues goin' right now, both with agreeable scoring settings in place that will reward yardage and scoring, leading to higher scores, and, I believe anyway, a more competitive balance.

Lindros Over - Under Update: Following up on this thread, where we wager on the misery of another human being. Skydivedad and 2bnamedl8r (who, in fact, was never named) are completely eliminated, while goddam is out of contention for games played, and Weedy and Folkways underestimated the great man's scoring output. I don't know tables, so good luck reading this stuff.

April 18, 2006...Best Day Ever?: What a great bunch of FPPs today. Really a pleasure to drop in and luxuriate in all that SportsFilter can be. Kudos justgary, rcade, lilnemo, rocket88, and dusted for some excellent posts that were so Anti-Yahoo it made the world seem like a better place. Not that the other posts today were bad, but those five really did the trick for me. Viva SportsFilter!

Did I miss the Hall Monitor elections?: There's a high probability that I'm being snarky here, but it annoys me no end that a guy who's only been here a month wants us to mind our manners for the sake of his womenfolk, who apparently just can't handle some of the world's more unsavory descriptive terms. It chaps me, because one of the reasons I enjoy the site is its freewheeling nature, which, yeah, does include occasionally salty language. Is there an age disclaimer on this site, or are we, as we should be, merely trusting members to have enough freakin' common sense that they pick and choose what to read to impressionable youths? Thoughts?
