Well, at least I'm third in "power". I can't believe I'm actually outscoring my opponents and I'm still 1-4. By the way, as I mentioned on the board at the league site, I'm in four leagues and was winning them all after Sunday's games; Monday night's game cost me the win in three of them.

Oh, if we're talking scoring systems, the system one of my other leagues uses, which is still my alltime favorite, is... 25 Passing yards = 1 point 10 yards from scrimmage = 1 point Touchdown = 6 points 2-pt conversion = 2 points INT = -2 points Fumble lost = -2 points (fractional points are allowed) I got in an argument with some people in another league last year about counting receptions (I was the only one against it, but they saw it my way this year). Basically, my premise was that by counting receptions (especially in our league where they count for a full point), we're awarding the same amount of points to a 0-yard reception as to a 20-yard run. The system we have really devalues RBs, I feel. Not that I can really complain so far since my team is the top scoring...

Man... 'bout time I caught a break. Of course, there was some dumb luck involved-- my receivers combined for 69 points. Except that now Daunte Culpepper is hurt, and it looks like I'm going to have to start Mike Anderson b/c of Seattle's bye week, and just sort of hope that Portis leaves early again. It'll be okay as long as I can sneak into the playoffs. (Unlike last year's SpoFi league, when only 4 teams made it out of 20, and I started 7-1 and proceeded to lose 5 of my last 6 to finish in 5th place.)

I'm in. After my collapse last year (7-1 to 8-6? I'm emulating my Saints a little TOO closely) I'm hoping to recover. The draft is a bit early, though, both in time of day and in time of year. All you need is your 1st round pick to go down with an injury two weeks into the preseason...
