The plucky underdog Yankees surprise everyone and beat the Philles in six, with Matsui taking the MVP. Starting pitchers averaged 96.9 pitches a game, just squeaking under the wire.
Jeffwa gets the winner, series length, and the PWC bonus for a key three points to take the title.
At the other end, boredom_08 picks in all rounds except the one-game playoff, and even if we gave him those two points, he'd still win the Costanza by at least 314 feet.
(Our top three finalists each finished a point apart, so no tiebreaker required. Feel free to break out your clock calculator if you wanna break your own ties.)

Hamilton reaches deep and pulls out the crazy at home against the Riders, while Sandro DeAngelis makes two game-winning field goals as the Stamps edge the Lions. Montreal utterly embarrasses Winnipeg, and even Little Stevie Reaves can't help the Argos against Hamilton.

WEEK 19
Edmonton @ B.C. (Friday, November 6) The winner of this game clinches a playoff spot, and the loser risks total elimination. It doesn't get any better than this.
Montreal @ Toronto (Saturday, November 7) Tough to say, but chances are good that Montreal plays their starters. They have a first-round bye, and rust is a playoff team's worst enemy. Maybe next year, Little Stevie Reaves. Maybe next year.
Calgary @ Saskatchewan (Saturday, November 7) How about this one? These two teams were 1-1-1 head-to-head this season, with Calgry outscoring Saskatchewan by single touchdown. It's a coin toss if I've seen one. Did I mention that the winner clinches the division title, and the first-round bye?
Hamilton @ Winnipeg (Saturday, November 8) Another compelling match-up: if Hamilton wins, they clinch a home playoff game, and Winnipeg will be eliminated by a crossover from the West. But if Winnipeg wins, they take the season series 3-1 to break the tie for second and host a home playoff game themselves. Want to call this one? I sure don't.
Good luck!

WEEK 18
Toronto @ Edmonton (Friday, October 30) Toronto's way out of it, but teams that have the least to lost can often be the most dangerous, and Little Stevie Reaves is playing for a spot next year. Will Edmonton get it together in time?
Saskatchewan @ Hamilton (Saturday, October 31) Back in June, would you have believed me if I'd told you that both Saskatchewan and Hamilton would be battling for a home playoff game? No. No, you would not have.
Calgary @ B.C. (Saturday, October 31) B.C. needs one more win to clinch a playoff spot, but Calgary's still playing for the division crown. With Casey Printers back at home, this is definitely the game of the week.
Winnipeg @ Montreal (Saturday, November 1) Winnipeg's still in the hunt for that playoff home game, but it all depends on whether Calvillo will play. You might want to wait for the news bulletin on this one.
Good luck!

Meanwhile, despite Matt Stairs having 2 more ABs than the jet stream, the AL collects 175 total bases to the NL's 137.

WEEK 17
Hamilton @ Toronto (Friday, October 23) Toronto is done, but Hamilton's fighting to avoid being crossed over. The Ti-Cats have more to play for, but they're stuck in a tough four-game losing streak.
Edmonton @ Calgary (Friday, October 23) Calgary's still got a piece of the division lead, but have been struggling with consistency. And a win would put the Eskimoes within a point of the Stamps.
Montreal @ Winnipeg (Saturday, October 24) Montreal's QB and MVP Anthony Calvillo left last week's game early with tightening in his calf. Does Montreal do the smart thing and rest him? That's really the only way Winnipeg can hope to win.
B.C. @ Saskatchewan (Saturday, October 24) Saskatchewan has to be the favourite at home, but B.C.'s been playing a scrappy sort of ball to stay very much in contention, and could definitely be a sexy underdog pick.

WEEK 16
Edmonton @ Toronto (Friday, October 16) All of a sudden Edmonton's lost three in a row, and wouldn't even qualify for the crossover if the playoffs started today. But how effective of a spoiler can the Argos be?
Saskatchewan @ Calgary (Saturday, October 17) The division lead is split between these two. Calgary has some fences to mend after last week's blowout; can they get it together at home? This has to be a coin toss.
Hamilton @ Montreal (Sunday, October 18) Hamilton's lost three straight and is teetering on the edge of the playoff picture. But Montreal's a tough city in which to regain your balance.
B.C. @ Winnipeg (Sunday, October 18) Both these teams have enjoyed late-season renaissances. Whose do you believe in more? Also note that the winner of this game grabs second place in their division.
Good luck!

Calgary @ Montreal (Monday, October 12) The two division leads square off. But le Stade Molson is a tough place to play in the fall; will Calgary still be a division leader at the end of the day?

WEEK 14
Edmonton @ Winnipeg (Friday, October 2) Edmonton's just lost two games by a total of seven points. They're going to be an angry bunch come Friday. Don't bet little Jenny's medication on the Blue Bombers.
Saskatchewan @ B.C. (Friday, October 2) In the other corner, Saskatchewan just won two games by the skin of their teeth. They could just as easily have the same 5-7 record as B.C., and B.C. Place always plays tough for visitors.
Montreal @ Toronto (Saturday, October 3) Now that the Alouettes have clinched a playoff berth, maybe they'll rest their starters. That's really Toronto's only hope.
Hamilton @ Calgary (Saturday, October 3) Hamilton experienced a rude wake-up call last week, but I'm not sure that we've seen the last of them yet.
Good luck!

WEEK 13
Montreal @ Hamilton (Friday, September 25) While Montreal is 9-2, they have been looking just a little tired lately. Is Hamilton hot enough to knock them off?
B.C. @ Calgary (Friday, September 25) Calgary's gotta get the edge at home, but maybe not by much. The post-bye B.C. Lions have looked pretty good.
Saskatchewan @ Edmonton (Saturday, September 26) Edmonton will be looking to sweep the home and home, and the betting lines probably will be too.
Toronto @ Winnipeg (Saturday, September 26) Back-to-back wins have been tough to come by in Toronto, but who better to try it against than Winnipeg?
Good luck!

WEEK 12

Toronto @ BC (Saturday, September 19) Toronto finally wins at home, and a less-than-consistent B.C. team may prove a good opportunity to start climbing out of the cellar. Don't bet the farm though.
Winnipeg @ Montreal (Sunday, September 20) Losing by 45 is tough. Losing by 45 and then going to play in Montreal is even tougher.
Edmonton @ Saskatchewan (Sunday, September 20) Edmonton will prove a tougher opponent than Michael Bishop And Friends, but Saskatchewan should still get the edge at home and make it three in a row off the bye.

Calgary @ Edmonton (Friday, September 11) Edmonton has a much better chance to turn the page. If they can put enough points on the board, their home-field defence should take care of the rest.
B.C. @ Montreal (Sunday, September 13) Montreal will be out for blood after last week's tough loss. B.C. has shown some improvement, but not enough to beat the Alouettes at home.

Montreal @ B.C. (Friday, September 4) B.C. has strung together a couple of wins, but will have a tough time preserving that string against a rested Alouettes squad.
Winnipeg @ Saskatchewan (Sunday, September 6) The Bombers come to town, maybe with a new teammate. Taylor Field is a harsh welcome for any visiting newcomer. Take the Riders to cover.
Toronto @ Hamilton (Monday, September 7) The Labour Day Classic! Except that Hamilton is actually the favourite this time. Now THAT's classic.
Edmonton @ Calgary (Monday, September 7) The Ralph Klein Klassic! Unlike Ralph's election victories, this one has gotta be a coin toss.

B.C. @ Toronto (Friday, August 14) Is this even a toss-up? B.C.'s defence has been showing signs of life, and Toronto hasn't scored since Week 5.
Montreal @ Winnipeg (Saturday, August 15) Home cooking might help Winnipeg make a stand against the Alouettes. Montreal's still the favourite, but this might be closer than we think.

Saskatchewan @ B.C. (Friday, August 7) A struggling B.C. squad may be a slight underdog at home, but Saskatchewan is still banged up enough that they're vulnerable.
