Vick to still play.: "The Associated Press reported that after consulting with the Falcons, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and top league officials agreed Wednesday to let Vick play as the legal process determines the facts. A person with knowledge of the meeting, who requested anonymity so the case would not be influenced, said the NFL would stick to that position for the foreseeable future, despite its new personal conduct policy, the AP reported. "

Beilein takes UM job.: The ironic thing here is Beilein once complained that the only thing he didn't like about the WVU job was he worked in a place where the football program overshadowed the basketball program. I wonder what he will find at Big Blue?

Turner to coach Bolts.: The man won two Superbowl rings as the O Coordinator in Dallas. However, he has a combined record of 58-82-1 as a head coach in Washington and Oakland. All of the people interviewed by the Chargers (to my knowledge) had at least one Superbowl ring as a player or coach. Did they pick the right one?

Bill Cowher: may end up with the Dolphins. "Cowher won't coach anywhere in 2007, but he's not precluded from taking a consultant's job with a team this year, maybe with an eye on coaching in the future," Peter King said on NBC's pre-game show.

Lemieux meeting today with K.C. officials. : Kansas City officials, eager to find an anchor tenant for a new arena, will get their first opportunity to lure the Penguins there today. Lemieux has also agreed to meet with Pittsburgh city officials tomorrow to discuss "Plan B" to keep the Pens in the 'Burgh.
