He's not that good of a kicker, so this comes as no surprise. I like what Kluwe writes, it's entertaining, but the Vikings ranked pretty low in punting last year.

Columbus Blue Jackets made a bunch of moves at the trade deadline, dealing Derek Dorsett, Derick Brassard, and John Moore to NYR for Marian Gaborik and two D-men prospects.
They also offloaded Steve Mason to the Flyers.

The most abusive coach I had was just someone who screamed at us all the time when I played 7th grade hockey. I was too small to fight back, and I wanted to play so bad I put up with it. If that shit had happened to me when I was 15 or 16 I would have either quit or kicked his ass. It's amazing to me how submissive these players are, but then again they have a college scholarship on the line. I was never in that position so I'm not sure it's fair to judge them for not fighting back. No wonder so many players transferred away.

Boldin handled this well, he was well within reason to refuse a paycut, especially if Flacco just got a max deal.

I mean, it's a nice dunk, but Brandon Knight is tiny compared to Jordan, he had no chance on that play. I'd be a lot more impressed if he did it to someone like Dwight Howard.

The problem with the Rangers is that they don't really roll 4 lines. They ride their best players, and if it doesn't work, they're in trouble. The Hawks are running 4 lines and all of them are contributing on the score sheet, on defense, etc. Both their goalies are getting a lot of time (Emery out of necessity as Crawford was dealing with a concussion).

Well, if the stories of Callahan not changing the playbook after Gruden left are true, then the SB loss should be chalked up to incompetence and laziness, not bad intent.

I have no problem with anyone who humbly follows in their faith and backs it up with good actions:
Matthew 6 "Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him."

Nope, it's too late for that. No one was brought to justice for the murders of those two young men. Ray Lewis was even convicted of obstruction of justice. The suit he wore the night of the killings was never found.
He even settled out of court with the victims of the families.
If Ray Lewis was serious about his faith he would be humble about it, not arrogantly assuming that God is on his side on the football field. At this point it's worse than Tebow was last year.

Actions speak louder than words. His words are hollow. He can say whatever he wants, doesn't mean I have to like it.

I'm getting pretty disgusted with all the God talk from Ray Lewis. He may not have committed a double-murder but he at least helped cover it up. The hypocrisy is unbelievable.

If you thought that was bad you should have seen what the 49ers did to Eli Manning in last year's NFC Championship. They beat the shit out of him. Good teams are going to get their licks in on the quarterback.

Charles Barkley was on Inside the NBA last night talking about the possible relocation of the Sacramento Kings to Seattle.
He harshly criticized owners in all pro sports for holding cities hostage in their various bids to build new stadiums, getting the taxpayer to foot the bill, especially in these difficult economic times.
This is something I've never heard on ESPN, fwiw.

saw this on reddit:
A guy from Cleveland dies and is sent to Hell. He had been a horrible man his entire life. The devil puts him to work breaking up rocks with a sledgehammer. To make it worse, he cranks up the temperature and the humidity. After a couple of days, the devil checks in on his victim to see if he is suffering adequately. The devil is baffled as the guy from Cleveland is happily swinging his hammer and whistling a happy tune. The devil walks up to him and says, "I don't understand this. I've turned the heat way up, it's humid, you're crushing rocks; why are you so happy?" The guy from Cleveland, with a big smile, looks at the devil and replies, "This is great! It reminds me of August in Cleveland. Hot, humid, a good place to work. It reminds me of home. This is fantastic!" The devil, extremely perplexed, walks away to ponder the remarks of the guy from Cleveland . Then he decides to drop the temperature, send down a driving rain and torrential wind. Soon, Hell is a wet, muddy mess. Walking in mud up to his knees with dust blowing into his eyes, the guy from Cleveland is happily slogging through the mud pushing a wheelbarrow full of crushed rocks. Again, the devil asks how he can be happy in such conditions. The guy from Cleveland replies, "This is great! Just like April in Cleveland . It reminds me of working out in the yard with spring planting!" The devil is now completely baffled but more determined to make the guy from Cleveland suffer. He makes the temperature plummet. Suddenly Hell is blanketed in snow and ice. Confident that this will surely make the guy from Cleveland unhappy, the devil checks in on him. He is again shocked at what he sees. The guy from Cleveland is dancing, singing, and twirling his sledgehammer as he cavorts in glee. "How can you be so happy? Don't you know its 40 below zero!?" screams the devil. Jumping up and down, the guy from Cleveland throws a snowball at the devil and yells, "Hell's frozen over! This means the BROWNS won the Super Bowl."
