I like this "on-the-fly" idea. Except that it labels my beloved golf a non-sport. But then I thought, who cares about the label, sport, or no sport, I still enjoy the "game" just as much either way. ESPN needs a new show, "GameCenter."

I'm sorry - but sometimes 'I have a right to be comfortable' is trumped by 'shape up asshole! it's not all about you!' ... or in Toronto, 'if we can't look like professionals during the game, we'll look good before and after.' ..sorry weedy, that was a cheap one.

What is Coach K gonna do that Larry Brown couldn't? It's all going to depend on what players decide to go. I always thought it would be great to send the NBA championship team because they would know how to play together. That will never happen because of all of the international players on the teams, witness last year's Spurs. Somehow, we need to get the best players, and give them enough time together to learn to play as a team, rather than a collection of individuals. I wonder if Shaq will go again. I remember he wasn't interested in Coach K coming to the Lakers.

Every error is compared to Buckner's Maybe not every error, but the ones that indirectly result in a key playoff loss are. I think lots of people thought of Buckner when they saw the error, but some people knew better than to acutally say it. On a damage scale of 1 to 10 (Buckner's being a 10), this one was a 3.

Well, I'm going to reverse the suck trend by saying the word suck is cool. My team is the suckiest, oh yeah, we suck so bad. I bet you wish your team sucked like mine. ...kind of like what the Sox have done with the word 'idiots'.

Obviously, ESPN does exactly what will result in the greatest profit margin. It's business. You can't fault them for soap-opera programming if it increases their ratings. You can only fault the people who watch it and get wrapped up in what Karl Malone said to Kobe's wife. And I don't think there's much "room in the wake" for anybody else. ESPN is providing what the mainstream wants to watch.

But I'm not in love with the moves the Heat have made this offseason (Antoine Walker).

I wasn't talking about "looks cleaner" in terms of muscle mass or bulk. I was speaking in terms of overall reputation as trustworthy individuals in regards to substance abuse. Barry's excuse of not knowing what substances he was putting into his body was so weak it destroyed any credibility that he may have had, PERIOD. Sorry for not being more specific, which caused your long-winded research paper to be off base. I'm sure if I had the time (or the inclination)I could drudge up an equally enlightening thesis refuting the majority. Or maybe I'd just state the possiblity that samples stored for 6 years may be subject to tampering, especially by those who already loathe the athlete in question. But I'd rather not. Anyway, L'Équipe sure is raking in a pretty franc aren't they? Slander one of the world's most recognizable athletes? That will work. It's a nice tabloid.
