The "clutchiest" hits in MLB playoff history.

The Braves 14 division titles was a great success, but how many World Series did they win. Better than that, how many did they make it to? Winning the division is one thing. But all the good teams they had,one would think they would have a few more W.S. Champs than they do. Like you said ...wait till next year posted by Ghastly1 at 9:45 PM CDT on September 29 can baseball fans please just give the braves the credit they deserve and stop mentioning their lack of success in the playoffs. namely the world series. that argument/comment is been so overdone and has become tiresome. i don't even care......the braves have always beeen my team and they always will be. let it be. i just love baseball.

College Football Rankings - Week 1

i agreee with most in that the early polls do not mean much, especially since #1 and #2 face off early and oklahoma just lost their quarterback. if notre dame and sc stay undefeated til they meet that will be interesting!.......finally it's nice to see nebraska in the top 25 again....GO BIG RED!

At 30, Tiger becomes youngest to 50 PGA wins

i was able to see jack in the last years of his prime and i truly have to say, there was no one better than he. when he went out to play, he played with more focus, self-discipline, and of course skill than anyone out there. most importantly, he played with and taught me and others the greatest lesson and that was course management. nobody was better at that. he was not the athlete and did not possess the more natural skills of the great tiger. but overall, his respect for the game and determination is matched by no other.

Drive for Show; Putt for Dough

you guys are so funny you take every word and pick it apart. i don't personally think arnold is the greatest golfer to ever play the game either. i'm sorry if i left out that it was the influnece that palmer had on the present game(pro tour) was my major point. did you guys major in philosophy or what. like i said lighten up. and who cares who is or was the greatest. i think and know personally that babe ruth was the greatest.

Drive for Show; Putt for Dough

i'm going out right now! and i'm taking my nike clubs, balls, bag, glove, shoes, shirt, shorts, hat, socks, watch, wrist band, and towel with me. oh did i mention my 5 handicap too. (just bragging on myself a little; gotta get the props from somewhere). you guys are so serious. but hey i do have that handicap though but it is too hot where i live to golf right now. lighten up!

Drive for Show; Putt for Dough

arnold palmer was the greatest. if it wasn't for him their would be no jack of tiger. he made golf a real spectator sport and drew in the crowds and the money. and i don't care about records. tiger can break every record there is. and unfortunately that is his only motivation. he has spoke about that fact on many different occasions in many differnt media genre. why don't you guys go out and play some golf instead about talking about it.

Drive for Show; Putt for Dough

you know dyams you are a nitwit. i do not engage in obcenity either by the way. but what is your love-affair with tiger anyway he did not dominate the field if you look at the score board. and i agree with judgedread, if the open had been a true championship test he would not have faired as well! i do agree with the pebble beach win, however, but that was when he's was playing his best golf. every great golfer gets a win in that matter as well.

Drive for Show; Putt for Dough

hey dyams i'm not jealous of the guy or bitter. i was simply trying to explain that everything isn't always as "ideal" as it or appears. we humans just like to make events so idealistic and dramatic. and golf is just a game/sport. get over yourself! and who uses the word nitwit anyway.

Drive for Show; Putt for Dough

the whole tournament disappointed me!. i cannot believe how easy the course played for a major event. the major. last year at st. andrews was the same. these courses are playing way too easy for these players. more than half the field was under par. i think the whole tournament like last years was a bore! tiger lame tears included. give me a break! major tournaments should be more like the u.s. open. when it come to difficultly, etc.....

Hope for North American rugby?

i don't know about you guys but rugby is on my t.v. everyday!!!!!!!!! i get rugby union, woman's rugby, etc.. and i saw the match between ireland and england, i believe, but i missed the final between scotland and ?????????, in a international competition. it's a great game. but get real it is not going to replace american football. unless of course there's a revolution and great britain takes back the colonies which it rightfully still owns?!!! lol

Hope for North American rugby?

i just know a little about rugby and i have to tell you that i don't think it will "take" in the U.S. at least. probably for some of the same reasons that soccer hasn't. we already have football, baseball, basketball, and hockey. not to mention golf, tennis, etc. rugby will probably always remain a club sport with many but not enough interest to go around.

Soccer as nihilism

see this is what i'm talking about. all you psuedo intellectuals, including Yerfatma, still talking about soccer as more than just a boring game. excuse me if my argument did not present an ethos for bloody sake. we are talking about a GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not the the origin of the universe!!!!!!!! get a life this is a sports blog! you can take your aristotle logic and shove it! and by the way baseball is a great game and there are no ties and it is not timed! and you obvious do not understand the game! if you want to get into an intellectual battle about baseball just try me.

Soccer as nihilism

hey you guys up there! i have to break the news to you that soccer or football really is a nihilistic sport that is dreadfully boring. sports with ties, low ones at that, are pointless. no one likes a tie. what is a tie. there is no such thing as tie goes to the runner, you are either out or safe, there are no ties!! complete utter waste of time! watching the world cup has made me understand why it is really about the ridiculous behavior of the fans. the rioting, the literal crying and morning for their team's loss!!!! e.g. brasil. it is nationalism at a whole new level. we as humans get so caught up in nationalism that we forget about people as individuals on one planet. leading to all sorts of political and social ills! anyway.........soccer is just a bloody GAME!!!!!!!!!! if you like it enjoy it, if not don't. don't intellectualise it for bloody sakes. have fun! it's entertainment.
