Good for Brady. He deserves the award. What he does on and off the field, maybe a few other players{Vick?}should try and be like him.I'm not saying that he's superman, but he is definetly a class act.I'd rather have him quarterbacking my team than anyone else.No disrespect to Manning, just that I feel he's the better QB.
Nothing says "Sportsman" like passing for touchdowns in the fourth quarter when your team's up by 38. But hey, Brady's dreamy, has a cleft in his chin, and fucks supermodels, and that obviously makes up for a lot in Sports Illustrated's world.
It's too bad Brady's big year had to come the same season as Brett Favre's tremendous rebirth. I'll admit I was critical of Favre in the recent past, saying he was on a downward spiral and should once-and-for-all retire. He proved me wrong this year, though. The way he's led that team, which is really without standout talent at the offensive skill positions (with the exception of Donald Driver) is a tremendous story. Brady, with all his ability and success in the past, was set up perfectly to put up huge stats this season, with the talented additions they put around him offensively. And he didn't disappoint.
MMMmmmm....blueberry muffins.....
Congrats to Brady, like him or not he's a winner!!!!
It's too bad Brady's big year had to come the same season as Brett Favre's tremendous rebirth. Same here. I'm really hoping they meet in the Super Bowl, but OTOH I would really hate seeing either of them lose.
...that obviously makes up for a lot in Sports Illustrated's world. TBH, I thought Bret Favre was Sports Illustrated's "Sportsman of the Year"? The ffp is from the Sporting News. Did I miss something in my sugar haze induced from making all my Christmas candy? lbb I think I would have to go with the Packers in a Green Bay/ New England Super Bowl. ;)
That would be Superbowl XXXI that you're talking about, I think. :D
That would be Superbowl XXXI that you're talking about, I think. :D Yeah, and then was then...and now it's now. Heh.
Hey, I'm a New England fan. I would love to see us beat Green Bay in a Superbowl. That said, if New England doesn't make it and Green Bay does, I would totally root for Farve and the Packers. They are a very likable team.
Tom is a ALL-STAR QB playing on a ALL-STAR team You could put the Patriots up vs the "BEST" talent in the NFL in a ALL-Pro game and the Patriots would win Brett Favre...is playing very well and if the Packers and Patriots do play one another in this Year Super Bowl game it will not be a blow out but you still have to go with Tom and New England winning another ring...Maybe by 3 points again......
steelergirl, I get my halfass sports magazines confused. Sorry.
TBH, no worries. But I have to admit that I do subscribe to Sports Illustrated. If you want a basic overview it is ok. But I get my real news from SportsFilter. :)
