Pete Rose is crushed. He was betting on Kuhn to reach 81.

No fair posting a link and then taking the best line.

I agree w/Charlie Finley!"The Village Idiot!!!"Pete Rose is one of my all time favorite players & love your comment irunfromclones.Too funny!LOL

RIP Bowie. Ueberroth, a politician, succeeded him, and Bat Giammatti succeeded him to oust Charlie Hustle. After that, Fay came, certainly a poor choice, who was easily deposed of by Selig, and probably one of the most controversial heads of a pro league all time took the helm. Selig is undoubtedly the most controversial head dog to head the MLB ever til now, and possibly forever, if the Bonds thing does not goi away, and it certainly seems like it is going nowhere. If Bonds were to hit 756 in 2008, Selig would gamble like Charlie, because the one thing he wanted and thought would never happen, a one year delay of his nightmare, had happend.

NHL fans see Bettman as the village idiot. As for me, it was a guy in high school who banged his head into a brick wall over an ex girlfriend.

BTW, he died in Ponte Vedra BEach in Jaxville. That is where Sawgrass, my fav course, is.
