Talk about your coincidences. : Marshall football team gets a bit of a scare in the air.

It seems like we hear more and more about planes everyday. Something's always going wrong.

agreed. That sort of thing happens all the time. As a frequent flier I hear all kinds of stories from my fellow travelers (and experienced a few myself) about things like having to land in foam, skidding off the runway, near misses on the tarmak, losing electrical equipment when in air, etc. It's really not a coincidence at all especially dealing with small charter planes.

Supernatural don't yell at me but this is very wierd I am wierd and I pick up wierd vibes on just about anything I am just glad nobody died and I did not pick up any vibes on this

Next season, a new scheduling policy will be instituted. Marshall will have no games scheduled more than 100 miles from their campus. Of course, there have been a few bus crashes lately...damn. Seriously though, flying is supposed to be one of the safest ways to travel, so the Marshall program must have used up all their bad luck for several decades at least.

Having spent a fair amount of time in the air, mostly it has to be unnerving for the gentleman who lost his father in the 1970 crash, but really not a big deal for the rest of the pax.

mr_crash I think the article specified charter not small charter. Charter just means that they rented the whole plane, it could have been a chartered 747.

No matter which way you travel,there is always a chance of an accident.
There's plane crashes,train derailments and trains hitting one another.
If you go by bus,there's accidents.
What I'm trying to get at is ....No matter which way you travel,your going to have something go wrong.
"Flying is supposed to be as safe a way to travel than any" according to the
N.T.S.B(National Transportation Safety Board). I don't have a link on that quote on hand.
But I'm sure it was a scary situation for all on board.
Just glad to hear that nothing happened and the plane landed safely.

Just one more thing,I myself would rather have a mechanical breakdown
on the ground, than at 30,000 feet in the air.
