Think you are having a bad day? I am the Coach of the Michigan Mustangs & I was on the bus that had the accident. Luckily my son was not injured in the crash. I posted this story as an inspiration, when you think you are having a bad day. I just talked to Mo and he is doing great. He deserves the award he got from MDA. Mo holds a Masters Degree from Michigan Sate University & works there currently helping students with special needs. Check out the Wheel Chair Hockey League; www.thewchl.com or The Calgary Tournament; www.powerhockey.ca We are hopeful to bring the Power Hockey Cup to the Michigan in 2010, & we plan on playing some exhibition games in Toronto summer 2007. We will also participate in the PHC 2008 location TBD. (Either Toronto or North Carolina)

What an inspiration! God Bless!

Nasty. Ah - anyone who plays wheelchair hockey has balls. That's a tough game. No contact my ass.

This is the 1st time I have posted a thread, occasionaly I comment & I read most threads & comments. I thought the folks here would like this story. Coaching this team (And being asked back!) has been the best thing I have ever done! I did not think I would get the chance to Coach my middle son...... Every player has a tale simulair too Mo's. I am glad he got reconized! I am working with the Toronto coach, so Mo gets a chance to play before the next event!

What a great story. Best of luck to Mo, all of the athletes on the Michigan Mustangs and to you Coach! I am so impressed I am almost speechless for once.

Nice post, directpressure! I am pulling for Mo. Mitch Albom (author of the story) has a knack for finding people who over come the obstacles in their life! "Tuesdays With Morrie" is an excellent read.

Exellent post, dp. This kinda puts a lot of things into perspective. What bus company was that?

Terrific post! Thanks for giving us a dose of perspective.

Words cannot express how much I admire the grit that he (Mo) has shown, and directpressure, you are to be commended as well for giving your time and effort to those gentlemen on the team, and, as you say, I am sure every player on the team is a gamer, too. Best of luck this season.
