I dont even play chess, and I bet I could take Lewis on.. with all those blows to the head- I dont see how the guy can concentrate.... btw the current prize for beating mike tyson in chess is $.10

Actually I took on Mike Tyson in chess tonight and lost the ten cents. My enormous head fell over and crushed the board. Lost due to TKO my own king. Sincerely Barry Bonds

I clicked on the king.com logo and recieved the following message: We are updating the system so King.com is temporarily unavailable. WTF? Oh, well, I'm always getting my ass kicked in chess on MSN games anyway.

No - apparently Lewis is a ardant chess player and has played at a high level for a long time. He's no dummy - as evidenced by his getting out of boxing with money, and reputation intact. I remember reading a story on his daily chess workouts, but I can't seem to find it.

Lennox Lewis may be the best educated fighter overall of the last 50 years. While the Klitchko Brothers have numerous degrees they don't have the communication skills or the personalities to macth Lewis. Two of my favorite Lewis comments are: 1) When he fought Shannon Briggs who sports an unusual blonde hair style, a mix somewhere between Don King and Peyton Manning, Lewis said "When you fight me you need more than a haircut". 2) When Mike Tyson said he wanted to eat Lennox's children Lewis replied "First you'll have to eat this and this" raising first his left hand and then his right. Lewis had no children. None of the current heavyweights come close to Lewis in wit, knowledge or ring ability. Beware to the person who challenges Lewis at chess.

Unless he used the joke twice, Lewis' haircut moment was about his fight with David Tua. "If you come to war, you have to bring the whole arsenal, not just a left hook and a haircut."

Mr. B, You could be right. I remember the haircut and Briggs qualifies. But you may be correct, Sir. Either way you've got to love the comment.

I have trained my children in the art and science of chess. Now, my daughter beats me consistently and the other is well on his way. Maybe I can fund their college scholarships from this.

I have won many tournaments over the years and would be happy to play Lewis. Not saying that I would win,but I surely would not be antimidated.

It was a good comment Termite, aye. Tua was another "American" boxer, (from the American part of New Zealand...), who was maneuvered in front of Lewis and was going to destroy Lennox, but I think his haircut was more dangerous than that famous left hook.

from the American part of New Zealand That'll be Samoa, then :-). I ran into David Tua last year when he was in Apia. Nice guy.
