The thing with 'Sheed is that he never knows when to shut up. But I feel for him. I don't think he figured he'd be sitting on the bench in the 4th quarter due to an injury rather than being on the floor affecting the game. This series has the potential to go 7. Aside from the Game 1 stinker, this has become an actual competitive series. Go Cavs! Make this one go to 7 games! More playoff basketball = happier me!

He's 4 and 1, not bad for guaranteeing something. He was lucky to be right 4 times in a row. I'd shoot for 5 if I had the chance. If you reverse it, look how many times he would have been wrong if he guaranteed a lose last year or the year before. I hate the pistons, I just think it's a little early to jump on the Cav's bandwagon.

I would love to see the Cav's upset the Pistons, dont think it will happen, but what a great story. As far as the "guarantee", he was trying to motivate his team, but it backfired. Shit happens, get over it.

What an awful game last night. I've had comas that were more exciting. I think we can all agree that the Cavs were lucky to win that one. And I don't think they'll have another opportunity to do it again. The Dallas game was wicked though - 3-1 on San Antonio?!? Who'd a thunk it?

The Dallas/'San Antonio game was good but it's no surprise the Mavs are up 3-1 with the level of officiating going on. NBA fans better never have to endure another Mark Cuban rant about bad calls after what the Spurs have been saddled with the last two games (particularly in the last minute of game 3 and 4).

My only gripe as a Pistons fan is that when Sheed gave his guarantee in 04 against Indiana, it was to motivate the Stones against the favorite as oppsosed to the underdog Cavs. We should have won this one sans a guaransheed.

Rip Hamilton has broken his nose so many times he has no cartilage left. He has to wear that mask for the rest of his career. When he retires, they'll build him a new nose, but before that, there's no point.

the cavs have been getting all the calls in the 4th quarter. Last night with 2.3 seconds to go it was cleary knocked out of bounds by cleveland. Detroit will still prevail in 6.

He's usually right is unfortunately the more accurate statment. He's guaranteed victory 5 different times now. He's been correct 4 different times. 5 apples minus 4 oranges = 1 peice of fruit

He didn't say "I'm pretty sure we'll win" or "almost positive", he said guarantee. If a company guarantees any unhappy customers get their money back, and for every 5 customers they tell one to screw themselves, the guarantee isn't worth anything. He's on a good team. He's going to be right more often than not. But it really doesn't mean anything. One, because he does it so much, and two, he's been wrong. He can use the word all he wants. At this point, I don't think anyone listens to him.

Rip doesn't need to wear the mask anymore he just chooses to. He is superstituous(I'm sure I misspelled that) I suppose. He has said that he might wear it the rest of his career even though he doesn't have to. If he had no cartilige left his nose would be a hanging flap of skin, since all that holds it up is cartilige(probably spelled that wrong too, sorry).
