The end of an era. Australia's rugby leage team have not been beaten in an international series in more than twenty years; New Zealand has not prevailed over their neighbour in over fifty. That ended this past weekend with a crushing victory in the Tri-Nations final in England. Aussie players are embarrased, Kiwis delirious with joy.

Well done Kiwis. I think the NZ style is similar to that of Australia, and they were beaten at their own game - defence, power and speed. Now if only the Warriors could find the way....

Bad time to be an Aussie sports fan, eh? Lost the Ashes, their rugby union has lost 8 games in 9, their league team gets thumped by the Kiwis... strewth. At least they made the world cup, though.

And they did it without Benji Marshall or Sonny Bill!! Fantastic work by the Kiwis!

Conspiracy theory from the 'Roo captain: Australia captain Danny Buderus blamed his side's failure to execute the basics well, although also cited some refereeing decisions which had gone against them. ... "It's no secret everyone wanted Australia to lose to get the international game happening." Pifffffle. This theory might have made a justifiable excuse had the margin of victory been slight, but the Kiwis scored 24 and his lot couldn't even score a single point.
