Seabiscuit...the movie | SportsFilter

I never got a chance to read the book and will probably see the movie this weekend... I have heard a lot about it though. I hope the movie represents well.

I just finished the book a few days ago. It was a really terrific, winning book. I remember when it first came out, to some fanfare, I thought, I have no interest in reading about a goddamned pre WW2 horse. Then I saw the paperback at Costco and said what the hell. Ten pages in, and every other book I had going was relegated. I go to the theater about once every two years, usually I'm perfectly content to wait for the video release. But not for Seabiscuit - I plan to see it at my first opportunity...

Saw the movie and I liked it a lot. Now I want to read the book as I heard it was much better.
